It's all just sinking in, and the other political threads are too eloquent for what I want to express this morning.

Oh tits. This is rubbish.

Not sure my dogs would be especially keen on uninvited visitors either!

Penisland, I'm sure they'll kill them for you if necessary. Depends on the level of desperation people are driven to.

MrsRossPoldark · 09/05/2015 09:01

"There are 4.2 million voters in Scotland. They are represented by 59 members of Parliament.
The signs are that more than 3 million people voted for the UK Independence Party in the general election. Ukip will have one or two MPs." (C/o the Telegraph)

Hmm...

mrsallergy · 09/05/2015 10:28

Nope. Still massively fucked off this morning. Well, disgusted more than fucked off I suppose after seeing pictures of that smug twat dining out at a Mayfair restaurant last night whilst there's kids having to rely on food banks. It beggars belief.

LotusLight · 09/05/2015 10:31

More voters voted for UKIP than for SNP. Their only hope I suppose is that Cameron is offering the in out referendum, but we certainly need to ensure everyone's views are respected not just SNP voters who represent fewer votes than UKIP.

Christinayangstwistedsister · 09/05/2015 10:33

More voter voted for UKIP...a proud moment indeed

Pro

I do,hope they don't put pictures of that on the front of the daily fail....

chockbic · 09/05/2015 10:50

Cameron didn't answer the question about food banks, when interviewed. Only to say the way they are reported has changed, so that accounts for the increase. It's disgusting that people have to rely on them, in a first world country. Of course, Camo is so far removed from this situation, they may have well asked him how it would feel to lose a skiing trip each year.

Bursarymum · 09/05/2015 11:15

The problem is that the Tories have got in because people who WILL be disadvantaged by their policies have voted for them. If only the rich voted for them, they would not have not anywhere near a majority.

There are some, often young, naive public sector workers who vote for them and are then face losing their job in the subsequent months.

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 09/05/2015 11:42

'Nope. Still massively fucked off this morning. Well, disgusted more than fucked off I suppose after seeing pictures of that smug twat dining out at a Mayfair restaurant last night whilst there's kids having to rely on food banks. It beggars belief.'

Can you provide a list of suitable venues that the PM is allowed to dine at that will not offend you?

mrsallergy · 09/05/2015 12:02

Ones not in Mayfair to start off with where he's publicly papped with his smarmy face all over the papers the next day to kick off with? Talk about rubbing people's faces in it. Wanker.

Meechimoo · 09/05/2015 12:19

Would Maccy D's in Streatham have been more suitable?Grin

Selfishcuntydupe · 09/05/2015 12:23

Well, we had a celebratory bottle of fizz and a nice meal last night too. Last time I checked we lived in a democracy where I am allowed to spend my hard earned money as I see fit.

If that has changed, please let me know.

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 09/05/2015 12:30

I know it's crazy, what are the press thinking of, taking photos of the country's re-elected PM after one of the most dramatic and unforeseen election victories in decades. You would never of had Tony or Gordon having their photos taken while eating out in top end restaurants during their tenures in government, poor people did not exist back then either I suppose.

prorsum · 09/05/2015 12:32

I'm really interested as to why Tories/anti-Labourites are posting on this thread. Isn't victory enough for you?

We lost, we're gutted and just want to rant with like minded people.

I am aware of the democratic process and the open nature of forums, but you could start your own happy thread surely.

Selfishcuntydupe · 09/05/2015 12:34

Grin Pan

You just reminded me og Bigotgate. Ah, what a joy to remember. The mask slipped, the true ( and vile) colours revealed.

Bodyinpyjamas10 · 09/05/2015 12:35

Checking in. Labour did what labour does best. Shot itself in the foot with a massively unelectable leader.

Afraid that's it really. Policies were ok.

I think Tory Central office have Ed the idea of chiseling his policies on a gravestone and saying it was going up in Downing Street.

Absolutely unbelievable that he or his advisors could not see this was a spectaculaly ridiculous stunt.

He's Jewish and he ate a bacon sandwich on camera! On a phone in today a Jewish lady said that's why she and all her friends had voted Tory.

He should have known this sort of thing. His advisories should know this.

You wouldn't have caught Tony out that way.

Ed looked unelectable and flaky and people saw him as a ditherer who would be controlled by Nicola sturgeon.

That's why people voted Tory.

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 09/05/2015 12:35

Selfishcunt

Your username is apt, you.....erm.....selfish cunt. You should be eating economy beans washed down with a bottle of buckfast as a sign of respect and solidarity to those less fortunate then you.

Bodyinpyjamas10 · 09/05/2015 12:37

Well I post as a natural labour voter whose fucking furious at the mess we are in.

The time for tears was yesterday.

Now it's time for change.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 09/05/2015 12:39

prorsum there is a Tory happy thread - but MN Labour supporters don't like it. They think it's 'gloating'. Can't win.

mrsallergy · 09/05/2015 12:41

Oh how lovely for you selfishcuntydope. That makes everything alright then.

Smile
prorsum · 09/05/2015 12:50

ThroughThickAndThin01 I didn't know that and I'll be going nowhere near, nor should any Labour voter. My BP is high enough.

DavidCameronsFoieGras · 09/05/2015 12:58

I tried to choke the ham faced fucker but sadly it didn't work.

Better luck next time hopefully!

ThisFenceIsComfy · 09/05/2015 13:03

Right I've woken up in a better mood.

I've got the breakdown of votes seat by seat. I'm going to pour over that over the next few days. I'm going to contact my local Labour party again and really start committing some time to them.

Fuck this. I will not lie down defeated.

It's time for a serious and frank discussion about why we do not get elected. The only way forward is to be more involved.

movinonup · 09/05/2015 13:04

Does anyone have any idea how long it will take for benefit cuts to be implemented?

I am disabled (not to mention recently became a single mother of 2, EXDH yet to pay anything towards the DC) and currently relying on ESA,PIP and child tax credits.......I have an urge to start filling the freezer and stockpiling toilet rolls and tins of beans whilst I still have some money coming in, Someone tell me I'm overreacting?
