To think you shouldn't insult someone just because they voted differently to you?

It feels like a lot of you would feel more at home in a dictatorship.

I've seen people being called stupid, selfish etc just because they decided to vote differently

I don't care who anyone voted for. I do care that we are a nation that allows everyone to vote for who they want without the threat of violence.

Well I certainly didn't call anyone a cunt or abuse anyone, although I had some harsh things to say about what the Tories have done.

Last night I was told to get a grip after I had posted about my husband's mental illness and what the cuts have done to my family.

I think it is far too early to expect those of us who are worried about our loved ones to be respectful right now, although I don't agree with calling people cunts. Some of us are letting off steam and that is to be expected.

YANBU OP. I'm not dim enough to think everyone else would vote then same way as I did. I may not be happy with the result but you can only expect people to vote for what they believe to be the best for the job. As long as people thought about their vote before casting it, there will be no insults from me.

Left wing politics has always had the monopoly on vicious bigots (despite their claims to be "liberal"). Its not surprising this site is filled with bile directed at non-labour voters.

It probably is also a contributing factor to why so many have turned away from left wing parties.

If one is a Tory, one tends to be judged on their presentation to the world, including, their, er, grammar. Simply lending a helping hand - it would be horrific to caught out at the book club. That would be akin to bringing an Oyster Bay rather than Cloudy Bay!
