It's just a gut feeling that the nation(s) won't vote as predicted.

Jesus that was some result ShockShock

StatisticallyChallenged · 07/05/2015 22:57

Ditto re the Scotland comment - we're not a single entity!

Hillingdon · 07/05/2015 22:59

I am not a great fan of UKIP but I do support some of what Nigel says.

Sickoffrozen · 07/05/2015 23:00

UKIP will get lots of votes. Not many seats but lots of votes. Lib dems are finished

sebsmummy1 · 07/05/2015 23:06

I'm surprised that people are surprised that UKIP are getting lots of votes. People are concerned about mass immigration. I rarely hear an English voice in my local town or the town I grew up in which is 30 minutes away. It's very apparent that economic migration on a widespread scale has happened and is happening.

I would have voted Green was it not for the leader's open house policy on worldwide and uninterrupted immigration. I just don't see how a tiny country with a huge housing crisis can support the world's population flooding in? It's bizarre to me and I think it's easy to shout racism and xenophobia when what we need is a frank conversation and the only party willing to talk about it was UKIP.

flippinada · 07/05/2015 23:07

Say the exit poll is accurate and the lib dems get ten seats but Nick Clegg loses his seat...what then?

squoosh · 07/05/2015 23:08

It's easy to shout about racist and xenophobia because most Ukippers appear to be racist and xenophobic.

flippinada · 07/05/2015 23:09

I think you are right sick - but those votes won't translate into a lot of seats.

MaidOfStars · 07/05/2015 23:09

If that exit poll is reflective, Tories won't need LibDem. They could be close to a minority with only a handful of 'others', given that Sinn Fein don't turn up to parliament (and therefore don't vote in opposition to Tories).

onedayiwillmissthis · 07/05/2015 23:12

squoosh...bllsht...the most racist and xenophobic behaviour I have ever come across is from died in the wool labour voters

squoosh · 07/05/2015 23:13

Was that meant to say 'bullshit'?

Anyway, I have no idea about the people you associate with. I'm talking about UKIP party members.

sebsmummy1 · 07/05/2015 23:15

squoosh at some point someone has to give a shit about the indigenous population of a country otherwise you run the risk of civil unrest. When mainstream parties won't discuss it for fear of being labelled racists, then you leave the door wide open for the likes of UKIP.

worriedmum100 · 07/05/2015 23:15

I'm liking the bbc's map

squoosh · 07/05/2015 23:17

Yes I'm aware the main parties have dodged the immigration issue to their (and our) detriment. Doesn't change the fact that UKIP is a racist party and a vote for them is a vote condoning racism.

Hillingdon · 07/05/2015 23:17

Living between High Wycombe and Slough there is a huge issue with mass immigration. People living in people's back gardens. This is economic migration, not people fleeing for their lives.

wowfudge · 07/05/2015 23:17

YouGov exit poll puts Tory and Labour closer and LibDem on 38 seats, not 10.

I've just checked the BBC election site and it's predicting a Conservative majority.

See you on the other side everyone, I must sleep!! Flowers

flippinada · 07/05/2015 23:19

Do you have a link to that please wowfudge?

Hillingdon · 07/05/2015 23:19

Does anyone really think that the two main parties would have promised to stop immediate benefits when migrants come to this country if there hadn't been a Nigel Farage?

Flingingmelon · 07/05/2015 23:23

Do you think some of the polling results are down to right wing people quite often feeling like they need to keep quiet?

The left wing people on my Facebook and twitter feeds are shouting from the rooftops (as per). The silent majority?

onedayiwillmissthis · 07/05/2015 23:24

squoosh...bullshitGrin

whichever way I write it...you still produce itGrin

Hillingdon · 07/05/2015 23:26

Ed Balls could lose his seat - let's hope he does. He is a twat

StellaAlpina · 07/05/2015 23:28

I'm hoping that the 'young voter' turnout will be quite high. Almost everyone on my facebook feed has popped up with 'i've voted', not just the ones I'd expect to (I read politics at uni, so I'd be baffled if any of my old uni mates hadn't voted)

Interestingly, (from fb) I see a lot of DHs old school friends have voted even though they live in one of the safest seats in the country.
