It's just a gut feeling that the nation(s) won't vote as predicted.

Flinging. - being quite right wing they have tried to chase me off threads and resorted to swearing etc.

Same with UKIP. 10 yrs ago no one would dare admit they voted for them.

What an interesting night.

StatisticallyChallenged · 07/05/2015 23:30

UKIP second again!

Oh onedayiwillmissthis you poor grinning thing.

DarkVelvetySilkyShiraz · 07/05/2015 23:39

can anyone tell me when next result will come through please

MaidOfStars · 07/05/2015 23:42

Next result - who knows. The news will update you when someone looks close to declaring.

My cheat sheet says next key declaration is predicted for around 1am - Dagenham.

sparechange · 07/05/2015 23:44

Mermaid
Don't panic.
These are 'extreme' seats, which will polarise the swings. The UKIP swing will not be replicated on a national scale by any stretch

sparechange · 07/05/2015 23:46

wow
the IPSOS poll (and methodology) has been much more accurate in the last 2 elections...

flippinada · 07/05/2015 23:50

I would say that in the seats which have declared, UKIP have taken votes away from the conservatives and lib dems. All are safe Labour seats, but Labour have slightly increased their share of the vote. That's just a lay persons interpretation though.

I think it might be interesting to look at the constituency profiles as well.

MaryBerrysLostCherry · 08/05/2015 00:13

Nope, we are going to be minority govt or worse, Tory/DUP. Then were all fucked.

sebsmummy1 · 08/05/2015 05:46

I'm up, have checked the news and it looks like Clegg and Milliband are looking for new jobs Shock

JoanHickson · 08/05/2015 06:03

We are yet to announce locally and I hear they think it will be another tory hold here. Sad. At least we tried our best here.

Hillingdon · 08/05/2015 06:08

There was someone on one of the threads. Maybe they had been on the wine but they got quite irritated saying Labour were due to win by a majority and that the exit polls were wrong"

PeterParkerSays · 08/05/2015 06:26

I'm stunned that the results have come back as they have. I voted to get rid of our encombent conservative MP, she's got an increased majority. Who the feck has voted for her? Sad. And I'm stunned at Scotland, where they now have a 20 year old MP, and for the lib dems who have paid the price for Clegg's stupidity Simon Hughes should not have lost his seat. Here's hoping Caroline Lucas keeps her seat.

Hillingdon · 08/05/2015 07:03

The economy, benefits and immigration lost it for Labour. They were spend spend spend. They would have chased the wealthy away. The mansion tax wouldn't have raised much. So, they would be looking at the 'rich' that could be a family earning £50k.

My DH and I are high earners. We pay lots of tax, we lost child benefit quite rightly. Labour were coming after us. We would probably have left the country tbh. So, who would be paying for all these promises Ed was making.

Like to see more apprenticeships as well.

JoanHickson · 08/05/2015 07:06

Hopefully that will be the end of Ed Balls and a better less Knobby shaddow Chancellor.

StatisticallyChallenged · 08/05/2015 07:14

Recount request from Balls..bye bye Balls!

meandjulio · 08/05/2015 07:18

Ooh. If Balls goes will Yvette Cooper stand for Labour leader?

Hillingdon · 08/05/2015 07:20

Hope Ed loses his seat. A complete twit who sounded like a stuck record even when the economy was on the up. It all looks god on paper. Boris was right Ed Miliband thought that socialism would work under him.

Fortunately the country didn't agree with him due to his track record, his relationship with the unions was frightening (and I am a union member)

JoanHickson · 08/05/2015 07:23

They wanted Yvette and she refused in the past.

JoanHickson · 08/05/2015 07:24

Boris will be Cameron's Nemises.

meandjulio · 08/05/2015 07:27

Yvette Cooper didn't stand when she had three children under ?6. Now her two eldest are at secondary school. Could be a different decision.

JoanHickson · 08/05/2015 07:28

Yvette may if Mr Mom is out of a job.

meandjulio · 08/05/2015 07:32

OK I was worried about sounding sexist by talking about Yvette Cooper's children, even though she said something like that herself at the time. Referring to the Shadow Chancellor as 'Mr Mom' because he might be at home more (unlikely, he'll presumably get another job) is extremely sexist in my opinion and disrespectful to all the real men who are at home looking after children right now [blows kiss to SAHD DH]

Hillingdon · 08/05/2015 08:37

Hi5hello - interested to know what you are thinking now. Still a Labour majority????
