to ask: what makes you want to hoist up your judgey pants?

For me, it's the ignorance on vaccinations and the belief that measles is just a regular childhood disease. Makes me want to beat people with a large stick.

OP posts:
formerbabe · 28/04/2015 16:08

Parents who are routinely late on the school run

Parents who allow their children to drink fizzy drinks

SunnyBaudelaire · 28/04/2015 16:09

people who judge other people's life choices and use expressions like 'judgey pants'. Mainly.

Lambbone · 28/04/2015 16:12

People who do the "rent out my house, rent a flat in catchment" scam.

DownWithThisTypeOfThing · 28/04/2015 16:12

I judge "Judgey pants" and not in a good way.

storminabuttercup · 28/04/2015 16:15

People who let their kids drink cola

People who put pictures of sunburned kids on FB as if it's funny. My neighbour who let's her son get sunburned every single time we have hot weather. Confused

Ohbollocksandballs · 28/04/2015 16:15

People that don't dress their children in weather appropriate attire. Saw a woman dealing with a screaming toddler in town today who was wearing a tshirt. It's fecking freezing.

ollieplimsoles · 28/04/2015 16:18

For me its actual Judgey pants! Ever since I got pregnant every woman I meet seems to have a opinion on how I plan to do things and tell me off saying its not 'the right way'! They don't know me or my child!

For that I always try to adopt a 'to each his own attitude towards' other mums and their choices with DCs.

The way I see it, we all have enough to worry about without turning on each other's parenting choices.

Hoppinggreen · 28/04/2015 16:19

Smoking near children

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/04/2015 16:19

I'm judgey about people who leave their dog poo about .....people who want foxhunting back.....people who are able bodied yet would drive a mile rather than walk it......

Sansarya · 28/04/2015 16:20

I have to admit that when I saw a heavily pregnant woman, clearly off her face, sitting at a bus stop with a cigarette in one hand and a can of beer in the other I may have been a tad judgemental in my thoughts...

ollieplimsoles · 28/04/2015 16:21

Hoppinggreen ooh you have got me there though! I have to be careful those judgy pants don't go up to my armpits when I see people doing that.

butterflyballs · 28/04/2015 16:21

Dog poo, yes, pick it up fgs!!

OP posts:
Binkybix · 28/04/2015 16:22

Spitting in the street.

FunkyPeacock · 28/04/2015 16:22

People who smoke in cars with children

People in the supermarket with a trolley full of full fat pop & jumbo bags of crisps

Parents who park on the yellow zigzags outside school

Anyone wearing sleepwear outside the perimeter of their own house

Hoppinggreen · 28/04/2015 16:23

Yes ollie it's not a lifestyle choice or parenting difference it's exposing a child to potentially lethal chemicals . No excuse at all

lemonyone · 28/04/2015 16:23

Oh my…I already do two of thing things which are judged on here.

If we are out at a restaurant I allow my DCs fizzy drinks. If I'm having something more exciting than water or milk as a treat, why shouldn't they?

And my DS is/was one of those children who always tore off his warm clothes (if he allowed them on in the first place) as soon as he could, even in sub-zero temperatures. I knew I was being judged, but as it didn't stop him doing anything and he was happy with it I just let him be after a while.

I do judge people who spit. And judge people even more who snot-rocket.

VacantExpression · 28/04/2015 16:24

Pregnant mothers smoking. Smoking near children full stop.

People who don't realise how lucky they are to have healthy children.

Dog poo litterers. Actually litterers full stop.

I could go on Blush I think I have anger issues sometimes..

ollieplimsoles · 28/04/2015 16:26

oh this one annoys me, people who park in parent and child car parking, but they dont actually have the child with them- they just have a 'baby on board' sticker or a child seat visible in the car, so they think its ok.

There for getting kids in and out of the car safely ffs!

Sansarya · 28/04/2015 16:28

People who say “your baby, your rules”. What does that even mean?? Because it might be your baby but if your rule is that you feed it a full Sunday roast (ok, slight exaggeration) at 8 weeks then you’re probably a bit of an idiot!

NerrSnerr · 28/04/2015 16:31

People who post pictures on FB of their tiny babies asleep in cots with cot bumpers, loads of soft toys, big heavy blankets etc.

JamNan · 28/04/2015 16:31

With you on the vaccinations OP. The vaccination refuseniks truly get my judgey pants hoisted. I live in fear that my unvaccinated GCs will go blind or have other serious complications caused by serious childhood illnesses.

ThatBloodyWoman · 28/04/2015 16:32

People who are in a public place and their children are clearly misbehaving, but they just pretend not to see it.
People who are rude to shop workers.

KingJoffreyFanciesDarylDixon · 28/04/2015 16:33

People who drop litter.

WilsonWilsonWoman · 28/04/2015 16:34

Further to the smoking around kids, smoking around pets! So many people think it's ok! It aint! Angry

Yep to dog poo not picker uppers etc.

SparePart2015 · 28/04/2015 16:34

Children glued to screens all the time. People who buy tablets/laptops/consoles for the sole use of barely school age children.
