And not in the fridge? Dp thinks it should be kept in the fridge but I disagree- I have told him the verdict relies upon the great women of mums net!

Break chocolate up first and keep it in the freezer so it lasts longer :)

MythicalKings · 25/04/2015 07:19

Cupboard. Fridges kill the flavour.

JuneFromBethesda · 25/04/2015 07:25

Fridge. Doesn't 'kill the flavour' at all, or make it taste of other things, or make it turn white Hmm

Actually I'm with madhairday on this and was looking to see if anyone else would vote for the FREEZER Grin A Twirl or a Flake that's been frozen is chocolate heaven.

chocolatelife · 25/04/2015 07:38

dh broke a tooth on chocolate that had been in the fridge

chocolatelife · 25/04/2015 07:39

when i was in america they would go mad for frozen snickers, not ice cream, snickers that had been in the freezer. wouldnt get that far in this house. shop to mouth very quickly

chickenfuckingpox · 25/04/2015 08:22

stomach Wink

ninetynineonehundred · 25/04/2015 08:28

My husband did this and now we're separated.
Not saying that it's definitely cause and effect but you can use the above as a cautionary tale for him Smile

CUPBOARD

Janethegirl · 25/04/2015 08:36

Definitely cupboard or beside sofa Smile

InterOuta · 25/04/2015 08:40

Definitely cupboard! Why would you place it in the fridge?

McPie · 25/04/2015 09:07

Cupboard ever since my mum broke a tooth on holiday and needed expensive emergency dental treatment!

LongDistanceLove · 25/04/2015 09:14

Cupboard for me. I dislike cold chocolate.

Although saying that I am partial to a frozen Mars bar.

AliaMairns · 25/04/2015 09:28

Cupboard for my but boyfriend has it in the fridge at his house. Many times I've stuffed a freezing cold snickers down my bra to soften so I don't break a tooth.

Also, shops / supermarkets etc store them on shelves and not fridges so surely no fridge is the way?

TheRealAmandaClarke · 25/04/2015 09:41

Definintely don't store it in the cupholder of your car in this warm weather.

chocolatelife · 25/04/2015 09:42

I tend to dunk it in my coffee anyway, so even warmer.

ragged · 25/04/2015 09:52

Keep? As in retain over time? What is this strange "keep" word that does not belong in the same sentence with chocolate? Me do not understand. Wink

LikeTheShoes · 25/04/2015 10:04

caramel goes in the fridge, it makes the caramel all delicious and tacky.
everything else, wherever, its not going to last long!

notsmartenough · 25/04/2015 10:13

Cupboard usually, but fridge in very hot weather. If I'm trying to be good and not eat a lot of chocolate, I'll still buy it but keep it in the freezer (in case of emergency).

Jackieharris · 25/04/2015 10:14

Cold chocolate is minging. I wouldn't touch it.

I don't even like magnums/choc ice cream.

MrsTedCrilly · 25/04/2015 10:41

I'm with all the posters who don't get the 'keeping thing', you are all so controlled. It calls out to me if I store it.. "Eat me please, I don't like it in here!" Grin

CremeEggThief · 25/04/2015 10:44

I only keep it in the fridge when I need to hide it from DS. Behind salad and green veg works well!Smile Smile

TelephoneIgnoringMachine · 25/04/2015 10:46

Cupboard. Only put it in the fridge if the weather is so warm you are also keeping the butter in the fridge. No point in chocolate if you can't break a piece off.

Very dark chocolate doesn't melt as readily in the warm weather. Just saying...

RabidFairy · 25/04/2015 10:50

Fridge chocolate is so wrong. Definitely keep it in the cupboard!

TenerifeSea · 25/04/2015 11:12

Those who say cupboard chocolate is warm clearly have not eaten in my house. Cupboard chocolate is not warm, it's a nice temperature and it is lovely.

Elefant1 · 25/04/2015 11:12

Fridge, though I might have to buy a flake now to put in the freezer!

pressone · 25/04/2015 11:20

Surely you have the best of both worlds OP. His in the fridge - yours in the cupboard. You know where his stash is and it will warm up quickly, your stash could be in any cupboard in the house (except airing cupboard), and you can move it if he hides it.

Why argue - sounds a perfect arrangement to me.
