to wish I could vote ukip loud and proud

I've nc for this, as I generally have to in life.

I'm voting ukip, I live in Peterborough where we have had massive immigration. The affects have been huge. Enlargement of EU distroyed dh building business overnight. The schools are close to bursting and have to do a school run to two different schools, had a 5 hour wait in a and e. Teenage son struggles to get part time farm work like I did when I was a teenager. House prices are out of control, god knows how any of mine will ever leave home.

I'm not saying all of these are 100% to do with uncontrolled immigration, but it has Made the problems so much worse.

I'm not racist, most of my friends are 2nd gen Asians or homophobic, my brother and his husband visit a lot.

I just want an oz type points immigration system. I don't care that lots are highly skilled, that is often very bad as it leads to a brain drain in other countries and my children will have to compete with the worlds most ambitious and motivated people.

I just want to be able to express these thoughts but I'm shamed into hiding them by the media.

You can't blame the people now for what their ancestors did.

The comments on here about the Nazi regime have nothing at all to do with blaming the Germans for what happened in the past. It's about learning from the lessons of the past, so that we don't make similar mistakes again in the future.

It's interesting that you failed to understand why people might consider the historical references to be relevant.

ghostyslovesheep · 24/04/2015 22:47

oh and I am not blaming every German for the action of the Nazi's - you just did that

I am able to understand that the nazi's where German - but all Germans where not nazi's - thanks

you really are showing a sad level of ignorance - it does UKIP no favours - just reinforces what people think of their supporters

Goldylookingpane · 24/04/2015 22:48

Well as much as I would like to continue arguing the toss with you tonight,
my husband is calling down for me to come up to bed have a shag Grin

Hmm..... argue about UKIP.................go up? Decisions decisions

Nighty night! Grin

Keep it going - Lets see if we can get to 1000 by morning! Mwwwwaaaaaahhh!

landrover · 24/04/2015 22:48

Goady, yes 'vipers nest' it seems to be!. Can we not have a reasonable political discussion without all the horrible name calling? We are all entitled to our own thoughts and ideals surely?

samsam123 · 24/04/2015 22:48

UKIP UKIP UKIP

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 24/04/2015 22:49

I think some sock-puppetry might be going on. Hmm

merrymouse · 24/04/2015 22:51

Actually lweji made a valid point - we have an interdependent relationship with the rest of the world whether we like it or not.

Therefore you need to get beyond meaningless idioms like "charity begins at home" and convincingly explain how UKIP plans to engage with the rest of the world.

So far Farage's experience seems be to making dodgy but incompetent friends and claiming expenses. Really, he does need to be able to bring something else to the table if he wants to be taken seriously.

ElectraCute · 24/04/2015 22:52

My god, the standard of Kipper argument on here tonight is making me long for the return of claig Hmm

GiddyOnZackHunt · 24/04/2015 22:56

It's plumbed new depths hasn't in Electra?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 24/04/2015 22:56

I especially like the "UKIP UKIP UKIP" being churned out randomly, likened to a caveman's "Ooga Chaga Ooga Chaga" while beatings one's chest.

Electra desperate times. Grin

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 24/04/2015 22:57

beating*

Goldylookingpane · 24/04/2015 22:58

It has plumbed new depths.
It's disgusting to compare the plight of the jewish people in the war to UKIP policies.
That is so wrong.
And low.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 24/04/2015 22:59

Can we fill up the thread with Hmm faces?
I think it's deliberate goading at least.

Goldylookingpane · 24/04/2015 22:59

Saga, you are easily wound up! Smile

GiddyOnZackHunt · 24/04/2015 23:00
Hmm
Kampeki · 24/04/2015 23:00

you really are showing a sad level of ignorance - it does UKIP no favours - just reinforces what people think of their supporters

I find that about all of the threads relating to UKIP. I haven't yet come across one UKIP voter who seems capable of engaging in any sort of intelligent debate. All of the UKIP supporters on these threads merely confirm what I have thought all along.

It's hardly surprising, though, is it? After all, UKIP themselves have said that they are here to represent the bigots in this country, and that they don't expect educated, cultured people to vote for them. On these points alone, I find it hard to argue with them.

Goldylookingpane · 24/04/2015 23:01

Reference please?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 24/04/2015 23:01

Erm, for the second, possibly third time, that wasn't the comparison being made.

Go to bed now love, there's a dear.

ghostyslovesheep · 24/04/2015 23:01

no it's actually historically accurate and pertinent

but I don't think you have the ability to grasp that when you think saying a jewish man who lost family in the holocaust looks like Hitler is funny

Goldylookingpane · 24/04/2015 23:02

Lots of speculation.
But no proof.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 24/04/2015 23:03

I wonder if Mr Goldy has finished? Or changed his mind?

Kampeki · 24/04/2015 23:03

Reference please?

For what?

SagaNorensLeatherTrousers · 24/04/2015 23:06

This is honestly becoming to most bizzare conversation I've ever witnessed. What is happening? Grin

ilovesooty · 24/04/2015 23:07

Giddy

Quick shag evidently. Grin

ghostyslovesheep · 24/04/2015 23:08

Goldy do you think what you said about Ed Milliband is funny or okay?

you are very good at attacking people (with random and disjointed waffle) but you seem unable to answer questions

You have very limited ability to understand peoples points or form a rational debate

still it's a step up from slamming your knuckles on the table shouting UKIP I guess (but not much)
