AIBU?

To be really excited that a woman is having a baby. Again. I mean, no one else has ever had a baby, have they?

And it's going to be on the TELLY! And in the papers. And all over Twitter. We've got three weeks of this.

Did they really announce her pregnancy that early? I was definitely already pregnant (six weeks or more) and I'm due on Friday Confused

Didn't she get found out because she had HG and she had to cancel something? Or was that just the first time? It's all fused together in my mind

Call me naive but I think there's no conspiracy theory involving secret births and lizard eggs.

Kate/Catherine will probably give birth in the private Lindo Wing of the NHS St Mary's Hospital, Paddington in the next fortnight, and if that's what she wants to do, why shouldn't she?

I will be reasonably interested to see her on the steps and find out the sex of the baby and the name.

I will smile.

I feel confident of my grasp of more important events.

btw OP.

You were talking about your local village being filled with bunting.

Do you think that might be for St George's Day?

Something else to froth about.

Did they really announce her pregnancy that early?

Her "close friend spilled the beans" on that date.

See here

The official announcement came in on 8 September, which, even if we disregard the former "beans spill" date, still means they formally announced the pregnancy when she was only around seven weeks pregnant. Who formally announces a pregnancy when they are only seven weeks pregnant? Even if you have an early scan, you are not necessarily guaranteed a heartbeat at that GA.

Interestingly, if the latter date is legit, then the beans spillage date would be approximately the date of conception ... which seems rather coincidental to me.

To be fair, if I were them, I would muddy the waters a bit. If I had their resources and cash, there is no way I would give birth in a hospital with all those crowds and TV crews outside -- look what happened last time with that nurse, for example. What I would do is give birth at home or elsewhere, and then do a media/PR presentation at the hospital at a later date. It would be safer and far less stressful.

Plus ... a couple of US mags have already reported that she has had the baby and it is a girl. Grin

You're all wrong Grin According to Princess Diana the baby will be born on Saturday, and will be a girl called Victoria.

I detest the royals to such an extent that I actually went on holiday out of the country when the royal wedding happened. Failing the opportunity to go on holiday I guess it's just a media blackout in my house for now!

I think Diana's right. Although I think she's got confused and it'll be Queen Victoria's first name of Alexandrina.

As long as they don't pick my name, it's a historical royal one, having lots of babies around with my out of fashion name would be weird.

Pyjamas, happy anniversary for Thursday.I bet Wills is a bit peed off he cant make the Beckham's bash for his 40th!!
I do wish the media would lay off them though , not everyone is bothered! still, once the election revs up on Thursday and Friday, they will be able to make a run for it back to Norfolk as the country discovers who is in dark rooms doing what deals with whom.

The Daily Fail's website do insist on called Katherine 'Middleton' , she is now a Windsor, there was a big do all over the TV in April 2011, but I think their journalists missed it somehow. I think they secretly hated the fact they couldn't do a Royal linage to show us she was a distant cousin of Diana and her own family actually used to work for a living!

Not much hope of any politics today, though, I'd have thought. Do you think they'll all take the day off?

Now, if this was the NHS she'd be chucked out by 3 o'clock this afternoon.

I enjoyed the so called "former Royal correspondent" quoted on the BBC News website. Guess what, you'll never believe it, but the Duchess of Cambridge has been feeling a bit heavy recently.

I'm not getting the Kay Burley hate. I really enjoy watching her at things like this but you have to watch her through an ironic filter.
