To fancy Ser Jorah from Game of Thrones?

Actually maybe this is one for the weird crushes thread in Chat.

After much persuasion from friends I recently started watching GoT from the start and have really got into it. All of my female friends have been harping on about bloody Jon Snow and Robb Stark but quite frankly as conventionally handsome as they are they do very little for me I'm afraid. There is however something very alluring about Jorah, his rugged handsomeness and unfailing devotion to Daenerys.

It's the same actor who played one of Lady Mary's many suitors in an early series of Downton isn't it? I didn't fancy him in that.

Am I weird?

LaChatte yes it is, completely.

I find the devotion from Ser Jorah a bit tiresome.

Wait for series 4 and The Viper.

pictish · 07/04/2015 22:51

You are definitely not being unreasonable. He is hot to trot.

squoosh · 07/04/2015 22:51

Bronn is mine.

After that I'd plump for Se Jorah. I have to say though, all that mooning after boring old Mother of Dragonzzzzzz puts me off him somewhat.

I think Iain Glen is a pretty mainstream crush rather than a weird one.

pictish · 07/04/2015 22:54

I fancy Jon a bit but agree he's very earnest.
Also agree about Ser Jorah's voice being so soothing. Yes. I would.

EmeraldThief · 07/04/2015 22:54

I'm suprised someone hasn't said that they fancy Tyrion yet.

OP posts:
JeanneDeMontbaston · 07/04/2015 22:56

I don't find Tyrion in the books at all attractive. But Peter Dinklage is.

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2015 22:57

No, I haven't met Jon Snow in real life but I know he is short from photos and suchlike.

pictish · 07/04/2015 22:57

Yes he is. He has such panache. he wasn't supposed to be sexy in the books but Peter Dinklage made Tyrion his own and made it so.

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2015 22:59

I love Tyrion in the books and series.

Sharp as a tack, funny and vulnerable.

This is also probably because a relative of ours has Achondroplasia and I'm doing a mental cheer for the character.

JeanneDeMontbaston · 07/04/2015 22:59

Yep.

JeanneDeMontbaston · 07/04/2015 23:00

Oh, sorry, my reply was to pictish, and wasn't a laconic put-down for disability rights. Blush

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 07/04/2015 23:01

Having read the books... Oh, okay, no spoilers, but I'm only up to the end of the third series (the red wedding) so I don't know if they'll carry on following the books.

Jon Snow is too pretty. Bronn, however, has got better looking since Soldier, Soldier.

squoosh · 07/04/2015 23:01

Ye Jon Snow is clearly a bit of a short arse, that puts me off him. That and the fact he's a bit boring. Sorry Jon, ye bast'd.

TheWomanTheyCallJayne · 07/04/2015 23:02

Jon snow is just under 5ft 7!

Islanegra · 07/04/2015 23:03

Jamie Lannister. Fwar. And Bronn. at the same time

pictish · 07/04/2015 23:03

Salmo - it's true. I usually don't like it when a character differs from the book so much but in this case I liked both versions fine.

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2015 23:04

Jeanne - don't worry. Our relative doesn't like people falling over themselves to "do the right thing".

pictish · 07/04/2015 23:05

Sorry Jon, ye bast'd. Grin

What about Ramsay Bolton though - you wouldn't go there would you? And you thought Joffrey was a cunt!

JeanneDeMontbaston · 07/04/2015 23:05

Ooh, yes. Bronn.

I love his accent too.

Jaime ... yes, yes, very pretty, but he shagged his sister.

Now, Tywin, if he were 20 years younger (and not an absolute bastard) ...

squoosh · 07/04/2015 23:05

Bronn is mine.

No one else is allowed fancy him. You can have Robert Baratheon or Joffrey instead.

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2015 23:06

TheWoman - is your exclamation mark a mark of surprise that Jon Snow is so short or a mark of indignation that we are calling him out on his shortness??

Moln · 07/04/2015 23:06

I think I might fancy them all, though not Ramsey Snow, I find his hobby a tad off putting. Joffrey too, not overtly fond of him, but other than that I'm good to go be they dead or alive.

pictish · 07/04/2015 23:07

Oooh yeah love a bit of Jaime though.

EllenJanesthickerknickers · 07/04/2015 23:07

But Squoosh, what if I fancied him in Soldier, Soldier?

squoosh · 07/04/2015 23:07

I often fancy the whole cast depending on where I am in my cycle.
