I was on a thread yesterday which was not in AIBU, hard to imagine I know.

Posters were replying YANBU or YABU.

MN is not just AIBU.

Thank you Easter Smile

The beach is across the road from my house. I take my glass of wine cup of coffee, my bbq and anything else I fancy.

ThatBloodyWoman · 03/04/2015 00:06

I hate it when posters start an aibu thread and then it turns into chat on windbreaks and fairy lights.
Read the topic the thread is in.

JuliaDream · 03/04/2015 00:07

I started the thread being a bit arsey but I'm ok now Grin

AIBU needs a bit of love, ThatBloodyWoman.

Can't change the rules now Julia.
Yabu.
And misleading.

Sparklingbrook · 03/04/2015 00:10

I might report this and get it moved to the Beach topic.

How about the Christmas toilet beach tent?

Not me Maryz ..... Blush

stoopstoconker · 03/04/2015 00:26

I'm going to build a christmas tree out of sand next time I go to the beach, unless it's Worthing when the tide's in.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 03/04/2015 00:28

Sparkling - they are invaluable when you hire them (less £££) for:
taking all the stuff down on day 1 and LEAVING it there for 6 days
making cups of tea
changing nappies
weeing in a bucket if you're 5 or heavily pg and CBA to walk to the public loo
sitting out of the wind
running in for 5 minutes in British summer rain
changing
meeting other smug beach hut occupiers

We have a regular hire and it makes a UK summer holiday much nicer

WorraLiberty · 03/04/2015 00:37

Oh I absolutely love beach huts for all the reasons Giddy stated.

The last one I hired (in Walton-On-Naze) was named 'Jabba' Grin

My parents always hired one too when we were little, cos they had 5 of us and would never have coped without.

I have fond memories of reading the Readers Digest books the hut owners collected...whilst eating tinned meatballs.

Whilst my Mum thought she was the dog's bollocks cos she could feed 7 mouths without having to resort to stopping off at the chip shop which I longed for her to do

JuliaDream · 03/04/2015 00:43

Everyone should experience the loveliness of having a cup of tea in a beach hut.

OP posts:
GiddyOnZackHunt · 03/04/2015 00:52

I used to envy with a passion people with beach huts when I was a child with sand in my sandwiches.
I love every bloody minute of it because I'm on the other end.
Which makes me think that we're going to have to do a non hut hol in order to educate the DC.

JuliaDream · 03/04/2015 00:57

Me too.I used to wander past the. beach huts when we were on holiday as a child and long to go inside one.

So when we hired one for the day it was like a dream come true.

Why is this in aibu when it's just chat.... Or 'site stuff'
