I think they are all a bunch of smarmy knobs?

From BBC

The final results of that YouGov poll of 1,100 people are in. Pollster Peter Kellner says SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon was the "clear winner". Plenty more polls are being carried out, but here are the YouGov scores:

Nicola Sturgeon 28%

Nigel Farage 20%

David Cameron 18%

Ed Miliband 15%

Nick Clegg 10%

Natalie Bennett 5%

Leanne Wood 4%

Love the heckler. Did you hear the door slam? Was she forcibly ejected by bouncers?

dougierose · 02/04/2015 22:20

Blimey - a Conservative/UKIP coalition ...
Shock

butterfly2015 · 02/04/2015 22:22

We're all doomed!

manicinsomniac · 02/04/2015 22:23

They couldn't ... could they?! Shock

butterfly2015 · 02/04/2015 22:23

I think farage is an alcoholic.

Chippednailvarnish · 02/04/2015 22:23

Only if anyone can be bothered to vote...

They need 326 seats to form a government. Currently cons have 302 and ukip have 2 so they couldn't on those figures.

It's going to be a very interesting election this year.

dougierose · 02/04/2015 22:26

Christine Hamilton mentioned my family in her autobiography and my father (a well known litigious lawyer) threatened to sue her, so she's very nice to me now.

littlebillie · 02/04/2015 22:27

SNP and labour ruled by Scotland God help us

DowntownFunk · 02/04/2015 22:29

I don't have links but one of the justifications for free prescriptions was that the admin for checking up on and chasing fraudulent non payers (in Scotland) was costing more than just going ahead and making them free for everyone.

AyeAmarok · 02/04/2015 22:30

Sarah the presenter controlled them all well.

Looks like they had all been well warned!

dougierose · 02/04/2015 22:31

And another thing, DH went to a labour party fundraising dinner (had to as a work commitment) and was introduced to Ed Miliband. Ed shuffled around a bit and then when someone more important came into the room, he just walked off - no "Goodbye" or anything. The local Labour MP looked very embarrassed but at least had the decency to say "Great talking to you.. catch you later" (or similar words) and then walked off. DH started worrying about his bad breath at that point.

butterfly2015 · 02/04/2015 22:32

That girl asking about young people and getting on the housing ladder etc. Dave said that the scheme helping people buy will help 88000 people. In a country of millions that's not very many.

DowntownFunk · 02/04/2015 22:32

Parking is free at the Glasgow and Aberdeen hospitals I've visited in the last couple of years, to the PP who said Nicola Sturgeon was lying. I've not been in every hospital carpark in the country though.

OneFlewOverTheDodosNest · 02/04/2015 22:37

I actually enjoyed the debate more than I thought I would. I thought Nicola Sturgeon came across very well and made good points about influencing British politics for the positive whilst they remain part of the UK.

I was utterly appalled by Nigel Farage's comment on HIV patients being 60% foreign - is it me or was he basically saying "not only are foreign people coming here but they're GAY too" (obvs HIV is not just a gay issue but it is to UKIP voters, isn't it?) Hmm

traceybaybee · 02/04/2015 22:41

downtown parking is also free at forth valley royal too

Wellthatsit · 02/04/2015 22:43

Downtown, Hospital parking not free at the ERI. It costs a fortune, although there is a pretty good park and ride that costs £1 each way.

Cantbelievethisishappening · 02/04/2015 22:49

I continue to be utterly stunned that Nigel Farage and UKIP are still very much in the election eye despite everything that has been going on with them over the last year or so.
It seems UKIP can just do no wrong.

McFunky · 02/04/2015 22:52

Parking charges were abolished in 2008. However, charges remain at car parks built under a private finance scheme at three hospitals in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee.

JohnCusacksWife · 02/04/2015 22:54

I thought Nicola Sturgeon came across very well and made good points about influencing British politics for the positive whilst they remain part of the UK

The last part of that sentence is the salient one. She wants, above all else, to break up the UK. Their primary motivation is not to help make things better for people......it is to establish an independent Scotland. If they truly believed in making things better for people why not do so for all people in the country rather than only some? For this reason alone I will never vote for them.

ilovesooty · 02/04/2015 22:56

The sadness is that most people don't seem to care about all the negative press attracted by UKIP. As long as they want to get the country out of Europe and blame everything on immigration a lot of the electorate will buy it.
And they still seem to believe that Farage represents the man in the street as evidenced by the guy on Question Time now.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 02/04/2015 22:58

I thought it ironic that Nicola Sturgeon called for any EU referendum to be voted on country by country ... after all it's not as if the rest of us got a vote in the Scottish Independence issue, and that would have affected everyone else too Hmm

vitamink · 02/04/2015 23:03

Ed came across the worst. He's like a slightly drunk, unconfident school boy. Nothing he said seem to have any power behind it, like he was reading from a script or had been coached in what to say. It wasn't very convincing. Also, all the gurning and weird faces made him look like he was constipated.

Regardless of their politics, I thought Farage and Bennett came across really well. The others came across as typical hard nosed, dyed in the wool, career politicians.

aFirmGrip · 02/04/2015 23:06

My main worry is the inability of every journalist and contributor to pronounce Salford properly. Saul-fud, where's that? Confused
