Yes, you can't blame ssd for starting the crap about her parenting skills.

BitOfFun · 28/03/2015 21:09

Absolutely, Mistress.

tarashill · 28/03/2015 21:10

I don't mind her, she doesn't annoy me but I think the ops entitled to her opinion without everyone having a go at her. There's another thread where everyone's dissing Simon Cowel, but as he's male that's alright? We don't have to like everyone do we.

Froggio · 28/03/2015 21:10

I think she's great, she always seems genuine, very interested in the contestants and beautiful to boot. I also liked the dress she was wearing. She does seem to present alot but so what, that's what happens if you're good at your job.

Quiero · 28/03/2015 21:12

Grin John

I like Emma Willis, she seems quite normal to me.

ssd · 28/03/2015 21:12

I never mentioned what sort of mum she is..how could her, I dont know her Confused

I just wish she would calm down a bit when presenting the voice, maybe shes nervous, I dont know, she'd be so much better if she didnt shout so much

anyway, as another poster said, she speaks well of me Grin

Is her radio show live? If its prerecorded then she won't be away from her kids at the weekends. Which frankly is a ridiculous criticism of her anyway.
The voice is only on for a few weeks a year so why shouldn't she take the work?
As others have pointed out, no one is criticising marvin for not seeing his kids.
I think she's doing a really good job and brings something to her role on the voice. How sad that she's being scrutinised for what she wears, how much she weighs and whether she sees enough of her kids. What a horrible thread

heycarrot · 28/03/2015 21:16

Give me Emma Willis over Amanda Holden, Davina, Holly and that one off Strictly oh yes Tess. Please keep her on every show and keep the others off.

ssd · 28/03/2015 21:18

well yes I agree to that heycarrot

just wish she'd relax a bit

much better than the ones you listed though, even with the shouty voice

I guess she he doesn't always choose her clothes anyway, doesn't a stylist do that, like they do with the contestants.

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/03/2015 21:21

I quite like her as a presenter but The Voice is appalling shite which I don't watch so I can't comment on how she comes across on that particupar programme.

If you find her annoying, you find her annoying. Not sure why people are telling you off about it Confused

Justnapping · 28/03/2015 21:21

Love Emma Willis! Think she seems so normal and down to earth!

StrawberryTallCake · 28/03/2015 21:23

She is a brilliant presenter - if you ever saw her on bbots you would know that (a show which she has incidentally given up working on - not that it's anyone's business...... peas)

I saw her a few years ago supporting a friend who was presenting something local here - with her small baby in a pram (not that it's anyone's business peas). Devastating that some women feel the need to judge others choices without any basis of knowledge.

EastMidsMummy · 28/03/2015 21:25

Hilarious ignorant judgeyness. Most of the Voice is prerecorded (only a few weeks are live) so she probably works half a dozen Saturdays a year.

Meanwhile, you have no clue how much of her career is structured. It might well be that she's only presenting The Voice because she's agreed to a deal to host other shows. Or she may have been advised to take lots of work on now because young, beautiful female presenters are not known for the length of their careers.

And how the hell do you know her childcare arrangements?? Unbelievable!!

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 28/03/2015 21:28

Just because something's on your TV every Saturday night for a whole series doesn't mean it's taking place live every Saturday night on the trot.

I despair about people who point the finger at a high profile working woman and who think they know all the ins and outs of their schedules and finances Hmm

She's doing what she does just like teachers, medical staff, factory, catering or office workers and the rest of us do.
In terms of TV she doesn't actually do that much and a lot of what she does will come in short concentrated bursts.

I imagine she has a good work/life balance.

ssd · 28/03/2015 21:32

going by the views on this thread, she is probably a lovely normal person

maybe I'll see her in a different light next week?

Chippednailvarnish · 28/03/2015 21:32

BTW the audition shows were filmed back in October (my DF transported the contestants).

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 28/03/2015 21:34

Don't suppose she's particularly in love with you either, op. So on that note. There's no love lost, is there

TheSpottedZebra · 28/03/2015 21:40

On a weekend, Chipped ? Sad

cathyandclaire · 28/03/2015 21:42

I think she is utterly fabulous, both DDs and I were just talking about her wonderful style.

I used to do some low key/low profile presenting when my kids were younger and it was an amazingly family friendly job. Sadly I was too crap circumstances prevented it carrying on.

Good on her for balancing it all.

Chippednailvarnish · 28/03/2015 21:44

Nope, weekday.

PoisonPension · 28/03/2015 21:44

I don't watch The voice. I have seen Emma in a few programmes and I like her she seems so nice and genuine, she is also beautiful and looks amazing for her age.

The only other female presenters I like are Holly and Janice.

I don't think her dc are old enough for school yet.

DurhamDurham · 28/03/2015 21:45

I think she comes across very well, natural and friendly. Not at all up herself. And utterly gorgeous as well as being good at what she does.

Never thought I would see a comment on Mumsnet about a woman having too much confidence. How very dare she Hmm
