To think Mumsnet is mainly south of the border members?

I've been on Mumsnet for about 8 years and I've seen so few posters who say they are Scottish, and none whatsoever in my area (just outside Glasgow).

I've been on the local group (which is dead). It would be great to meet someone near me as I'm bloody lonely. I tried the meet a mum on the other mums website, that's dead too.

You'd think there were no mums in the west coast of Scotland or maybe they are all part of some super amazing website / group that I've yet to hear of!

Scottish mummies, where are you???

fanjo well that's a given obviously!

I have somehow ended up with lots of otherwise lovely Tory friends who get terribly distressed by my political views so I need to get all my angst out on MN.

Morris best line on Mumsnet ever.

MorrisZapp · 24/03/2015 22:19

Aw thanks for the one liner appreciation. I crafted it lovingly from found objects xx

InkleWinkle · 24/03/2015 22:22

I'm in West Lothian too.

PiggyPlumPie · 24/03/2015 22:23

Aberdeenshire here - so far south as to almost be Tayside! Not Scottish though.

TwinkieTwinkle · 24/03/2015 22:33

I do wish I was a member (or at least an active member) for the referendum. Would have loved it!

PacificDogwood · 24/03/2015 22:35

Well, I'm technically not Scottish, but I'm just outside Glasgow - there are occasional meet-up.
Also theres MN Local you could try?

derxa · 24/03/2015 22:40

Scottish but living in SE Eng for 30 years. Still feel like an alien.

PaoloCougar · 24/03/2015 22:56

I belong to Glasgow too Smile

HiImBarryScott · 24/03/2015 22:58

I'm pretty close to your neck of the woods. You sound nice but I'm a right booze hound and not a dog fan so don't think we'd be best pals. Hope this thread cheers you up tho. X

Momagain1 · 24/03/2015 22:58

I am in Glasgow!

The mumsnet local list for Glasgow is sooo inactive

I wish there were a mumsnet local for all of scotland. Sometimes it's frustrating to want to chat about things like SN provision which can be handled differently here than there.

storytopper · 24/03/2015 23:00

Stirlingshire here!

Momagain1 · 24/03/2015 23:06

^There's no need for education threads in Scotland.

Give them a sandwich. Send them to school. The end.^

In Glesga, arent we supposed to give them a piece?

(American, trying to learn the lingo.)

Judydreamsofhorses · 24/03/2015 23:06

NE Scotland here.

piggychops · 24/03/2015 23:11

Highlands here!

MostAmused · 24/03/2015 23:12

Another Fifer :D

NobbyNobs · 24/03/2015 23:15

Kilmarnock here.

I laughed at the school comment.

Our head isn't Scottish. Waved the boy off on a school trip to London today. They're gone till Friday. Headteacher was asking nicely if anyone needed a tissue. She got a few bemused looks and one Mam asked for a flag.

Tapirbackrider · 24/03/2015 23:15

Fife here Smile

BaldHedgehog · 24/03/2015 23:19

Piggychops :)
Highlands here, Inverness

Momagain1 · 24/03/2015 23:22

Nobby makes me wonder: Are we Mamsnetters then?

Can we get our own section, like DadsNet?

SenecaFalls · 24/03/2015 23:30

Can I play? I'm American (of Scottish descent, happy to say) and went to university in Scotland. I love Scotland. Smile

GalindawithaGa · 24/03/2015 23:41

Fife 4 Life Smile

We'd want Mawsnet I think
