To think Mumsnet is mainly south of the border members?

I've been on Mumsnet for about 8 years and I've seen so few posters who say they are Scottish, and none whatsoever in my area (just outside Glasgow).

I've been on the local group (which is dead). It would be great to meet someone near me as I'm bloody lonely. I tried the meet a mum on the other mums website, that's dead too.

You'd think there were no mums in the west coast of Scotland or maybe they are all part of some super amazing website / group that I've yet to hear of!

Scottish mummies, where are you???

DINNY THINK SO is a complete sentence.

ouryve · 24/03/2015 23:56

Probably because the population of London, alone, is bigger than that of Scotland.

Loved the Indyref threads they got very lively!

Lots of scots on MN - you can tell when folk post sense (or humour) ;)

at the risk of turning this thread political, anyone believe the polls re: MPs in Scotland?

Another one loving mawsnet.com Grin

Too early in the morning for politics for me Brew

StatisticallyChallenged · 25/03/2015 07:43

If those who were yes voters pretty much vote snp-which is possible I think-then the polls are certainly possible simply because the larger no vote is split between multiple parties. Now I know that many yes voters were not traditionally snp voters, but a lot of them are currently pretty disenchanted with their old parties too. Indyref is still pretty recent and I think still quite raw for many -it might have looked a bit different if the GE was in 2017 say.

weebarra · 25/03/2015 07:46

Originally from East Dunbartonshire too Frankie, did you see that lots of bits ended up in the best places to live in Scotland survey? My folks still live there so I do go back sometimes, but I've lived in Edinburgh since I was 17.
Election could be interesting here I think- traditional Labour heartland

miniHovis · 25/03/2015 07:54

MorrisZapp · 25/03/2015 08:06

No I don't believe the polls. I'm not bothered for myself but I have friends and family who were utterly devastated by the referendum outcome, and they're going to be heartbroken all over again.

gregorsmummy · 25/03/2015 08:12

Argyll lass here, our local board has tumble weed and cobwebs!

McFox · 25/03/2015 08:14

Edinburgh here Smile

Nobby, I misread and thought that one mum asked for a fag - truly celebration time! Grin
