Just found a really cute wallpaper for my kids new bedroom in our new house, it's Winnie the Pooh, tigger, piglet and eyore all sleepy on moons, stars and clouds. My daughter is just 7 and my son is nearly 6. They will be sharing a big room for the first year or so and it's really hard to find something unisex and I do really want to use wallpaper. Just told my mum (who detests kids "character" bedroom themes) and she said it sounds like wallpaper for a baby's room! Don't know what to do, I think it's sweet wallpaper, my daughter likes it and my son (who has autism and much younger in himself than his actual age) does not really care as long as he can still have some Thomas the tank engine pictures up. All the other nice wallpapers I have found are about 70 pounds a roll and I will need to buy pink for one side of the room and blue for the other, the Winnie wallpapers about 10pounds a roll. It's my last chance to do a young children's bedroom as when my daughter moves into her own room over the next couple of years she will probably want something more grown up by then. Aibu to think Winnie is okay for my kids or am I treating them like babies? Should they have something more grown up now?
