The dress is SO obviously not blue and black.

OP posts:
diddl · 27/02/2015 18:25

"Blue and brown.
Where is the black, white, gold????"

the lace is actually black, which some are seeing as gold, others black & I'm guessing you are seeing as brown.

The fabric is blue, which some are seeing as white & some as a pale blue.

Lulu1083 · 27/02/2015 18:37

Definitely white and gold for me, has never turned blue and black in all the times I've looked at it. DH was white and gold, then it changed for him, now back to white and gold again. Most bizarre!

londonrach · 27/02/2015 18:39

White and gold but who cares its not even a nice dress..(pours wine)

workadurka · 27/02/2015 18:39

OK looked at it again and got the gold and white. Scrolled down, then back up and it was blue and black! Feel like I'm tripping. I know it's blue and black too!

Lambbone · 27/02/2015 18:42

Gold trimmings, grey dress

WONAR · 27/02/2015 18:44

Erm I'm seeing blue and gold...

mummytime · 27/02/2015 18:46

I range between bluey white and gold to blue and black. Its not like that ballerina either who I can make spin the other way.

SuffragetteCity · 27/02/2015 18:50

I think it's a hoax.

KellyElly · 27/02/2015 18:58

Me and DD (5) both looked at the same time. She said blue and black and I see purpley blue and dirty gold. It can't be a trick as we're both looking at the same pic. I've seen the actual dress online and there I can clearly see it's blue and black! So weird.

iwouldgoouttonight · 27/02/2015 19:00

Is everyone looking at the same picture? I've seen loads of different ones, a blue and black one next to a white and gold one. Is there a definitive one we should look at?

KellyElly · 27/02/2015 19:03

I'm looking at the link Pantone posted up thread.

iwouldgoouttonight · 27/02/2015 19:05

There are clearly either two different coloured dresses, the white and gold one with the white little jacket hanging up, and the blue and black one being worn by someone. And then one I saw where they'd just adjusted the colours in photoshop to show how it looks if you darken the white and gold one.

It must be some kind of marketing ploy.

I don't understand it.

KellyElly · 27/02/2015 19:10

But my daughter sees the one you describe as white and gold as blue and black. She's five!

MarshaBrady · 27/02/2015 19:12

I don't think it is. The one hanging up looks blue and black.

LikeIcan · 27/02/2015 19:12

White & gold defo.

iwouldgoouttonight · 27/02/2015 19:14

Is only looked at it myself until now and thought everyone must be looking at different pictures, but now I've just showed DP and he says blue and black, and DD says blue and green!

My brain has officially exploded.

KellyElly · 27/02/2015 19:15

Now I've shown her the real dress as it actually looks in normal light, she's not seeing blue and gold like me Blush

patienceisvirtuous · 27/02/2015 19:17

It's stressing me out. White and gold. It just IS :o

KellyElly · 27/02/2015 19:21

I'm going to stop thinking about it. That's the only sensible thing to do Grin

meglet · 27/02/2015 19:39

I'm starting to wonder too suffragette.

Thisvehicleisreversing · 27/02/2015 20:38

I see pale blue with olive coloured lace which of course looks like a hideous combination. Grin

Rjae · 27/02/2015 20:39

It's blue and brown!

Give over with the white!

phlebasconsidered · 27/02/2015 20:41

I think it's brown and grey. I should probably get my coat.

DigApony · 27/02/2015 20:59

I'm seeing pale blue and brown, I actually got quite angry when I showed dh the pic I was looking at and he said dark blue and black. I know the dress is dark blue and black irl. But how am I seeing a different colour it's very frustrating.

meglet · 27/02/2015 21:02

ok. it's not a trick. just showed a photo of the dress to the dc's....

6yo dd "gold and white!"

8yo DS "Hmm BLUE and BLACK!"

weird.
