AIBU to say it's white and gold and anyone who says otherwise is sadly mistaken

I'm with you - I have seen myriad posts about this on FB and now here, but I have no idea who is wearing this dress or why it has such a debate raging, and none of the links posted here seem to explain!

Somebody's mum wore it at a wedding.

It is very light blue and bronze - it is a mix of brown and gold. Anyone else is colour blind!

I can't see it in white and gold. Not at all. It's blue and black for me in every picture, even the edited ones.

In the link that I have posted, with the pic of the mum wearing it, it obviously looks blue & black to me even though I see it as white/gold in the other pic.

So those that see it as blue/black, is it the same shade of blue in the pic that started the debate & the pic of the mum wearing it?

Ok we've just had a row in the office, some colleagues can see white and gold, me brown and blue and some black and blue

I see white and gold. But my 4 year old said black and blue and looked at me like I was stupid when I suggested it wasn't. Am looking forward to testing other members of the family when they get home.

I always have my screen brightness set at low.

When I turn it up bright, the dress goes white and gold and the blue disappears.

How daft this all is.

I don't get it!! How can anyone see the gold bits as black?! I understand that the actual dress is blue and black but in the photo it IS gold NOT black! I can't believe it's black! (Mind boggled!)

Ds1 says it's blue and black and thinks I'm deluded!

On the news they showed some random people in the street the picture and one bloke disagreeing with his friends over the colour said "You're twisting my spanner"

When on the news I only saw blue and black and now I can only see white and gold.

If I have my laptop screen at the normal angle, it is white and gold (this is what I have always seen). Just tilted the laptop screen away from me and it went blue and black.

I have seen this bloody dress too many times and on three different screens.

I cannot see how else it can be blue and black.

Haven't seen a single pic where it looks white and gold. It is clearly blue and black.

One of those links, it does look like blue and gold in it (the far right of 3 versions in Pantone's link), but none have looked black to me yet (look at the neckline in all versions - there is clearly gold there).

I do think it is white, but can accept those who see blue.

I have seen it on 4 devices in all different lights and brightness settings. It has only been black and blue.

Got ds2 to cooperate & he sees blue & black too.

I cannot see black at all and only light blue!

Everyone is our house sees it as black and blue.
