Flossyfloof · 26/02/2015 22:41

MaeMobley · 26/02/2015 22:42

YANBU at all.

fuctifino · 26/02/2015 22:42

I'm with you on this one.
My friend calls her ds bubba, he's 8!

DandyHighwayman · 26/02/2015 22:42

Come ON.

Pedants's Corner is thataway

WayfaringStranger · 26/02/2015 22:43

My best friend (who I LOVE dearly) is the worst for this; bubs, baba and bubba etc.

PelvicFloorClenchReminder · 26/02/2015 22:44

No? How about 'Bubsywubsers'?

vjg13 · 26/02/2015 22:45

YANBU, also detest "lil man"

KingJoffreyObviouslyWatchesHol · 26/02/2015 22:45

Oooo, I hate 'babby'.

Why? Why deliberately speak badly??

FarFromAnyRoad · 26/02/2015 22:45

DS christened his grandfather 'Bubba' almost before he could speak. It stuck and now everyone calls him Bubba. Ridiculous but these things happen.

BlackBettyBamALam · 26/02/2015 22:46

YADNBU. Same goes for other crap non-words like dindins and drinkypoos.

meditrina · 26/02/2015 22:47

It's one of the things I like about MN.

It's a place for whimsy eschewers.

InteriorsMum · 26/02/2015 22:51

I call my dd14 bubba all the time Grin

AuntieStella · 26/02/2015 22:52

I find "mummy's little soldier" has a galvanising effect on teens. Especially in public.

Showy · 26/02/2015 22:54

Aww, what's wrong with me, hubs and lil bubba going on holibobs?

^That hurt. Physically hurt.

ColdTeaAgain · 26/02/2015 22:56

YANBU. They are usually the same people who talk about their hubby and their holibobs.

ColdTeaAgain · 26/02/2015 22:57

Ha! Like minds Showy Wink

nickelbarapasaurus · 26/02/2015 22:59

What's wrong with holibobs? Shock

vjg13 · 26/02/2015 22:59

Hubby or my other half

itsnotmeitsyou1 · 26/02/2015 22:59

It's awful. Then again so is referring to your child/partner or other as 'dear son, dear husband' and other such nauseating shortenings. Just have to let these things go as irritating as they are.

AppleCrumples · 26/02/2015 23:01

Oh my dd2 has a bunny called bubba (she can say bunny yet) bubba goes everywhere with us! she also has a spare called more bubba Grin

A bit we worried all the local mners are secretly judging the continuous usr of the word Wink

AppleCrumples · 26/02/2015 23:03

Sorry posting on phone!

Should say can't and god knows where that we came from

Penguinsaresmall · 26/02/2015 23:04
