To think having children is not a right!

cremeeggcook · 08/02/2015 16:22

If you can't afford children thats just tough! IMO. We should abolish child benefit to be spent on real rights such as having something to eat and decent levels of sanitation. I would rather my hard earned tax went there than child benefit!!

Has anyone tried this sticky toffee pudding yet? I haven't but I have high hopes of it www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/recipe-of-the-week-sticky-toffee-pudding/

My cousin's aunt makes the best one in the world but her recipe is secret Sad

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 08/02/2015 18:23

This won't end well!. Don't take your anger out on children. They do not ask to be brought here.
Hope you little miss judgefuckingmental never fall on hard times. But remember karma doesn't miss a trick.!!!
Oh and just in case you're under any illusion of my feelings. The biggest YABU. I have even given anyone.

Viviennemary · 08/02/2015 18:24

I just don't get why this is such a touchy subject. Overpopulation is quite a problem and is going to get worse.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 08/02/2015 18:28

Well may I ask what can be done about over population, Vivienne!. Stop people having sex and creating lives!

Arsenic · 08/02/2015 18:30

Overpopulation is a great argument for all stuffing ourselves with sticky toffee pudding. Life expectancy increases are part of the problem. With sufficient pudding consumption, we could all shave 2-3 years of our lives and rebalance things.

TwatFaceBitch · 08/02/2015 18:31

Oh I am Stuff now.
I love sticky toffee pudding, might make some for tomorrow,

I've not tried Baileys cheese cake yet, any good any one?

Viviennemary · 08/02/2015 18:31

Yes. All this five a day business. I just got a leaflet about it. Don't think I'll bother now after all. Grin

TwatFaceBitch · 08/02/2015 18:32

*stuffed

Arsenic · 08/02/2015 18:32

How do I make an "Eat for Demographic Victory" meme?

NakedFamilyFightClub · 08/02/2015 18:36

"This sticky toffee pudding needs you" on the beardy hat man poster would do it I think Grin

Bailey's cheesecake is yum! Set though, not baked.

PrettyFeet · 08/02/2015 18:37

Shut the doors, is the obvious answer. Close the immigration doors and deal with what we have.

Then educate (or try to)

I do totally agree with not having more children than you can afford.
I had one (being left as a single parent) and of course I would have loved another (only child thing and feeling guilty that my child didnt have a sibling) But I knew that I couldnt afford another one, nor could i cope emotionally etc.

That's life.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 08/02/2015 18:49

An wondering what to do with rest of my roast leg of lamb.

isitsnowingyet · 08/02/2015 18:51

Linerunner (from a lot further up thread) - can I suggest that if you're upset by the Bee Gees lyrics written down (and let's face it - yes, they are rather disappointing) instead have a look at Bob Dylan's lyrics written down - much more satisfying!!!

YaTalkinToMe · 08/02/2015 18:54

Shut the doors

My doors are shut, its cold and I am trying to keep the warm air in.

Davsmum · 08/02/2015 19:08

Bloody hell, now only well off people can have children?! The quicker we exterminate the poor, the better eh?!

Paleodad · 08/02/2015 19:13

But but.... You do realise that we need immigration/immigrants in this country, due to the aging population, less tax revenues etc...?

Paleodad · 08/02/2015 19:15

Lovely, I mean lovely pizza

Andrewofgg · 08/02/2015 19:16

OP I grew out of that line of thought at about fifteen, and girls are said to mature earlier than boys . . . time you caught up?

pointythings · 08/02/2015 19:23

Clafoutis?

Andrewofgg · 08/02/2015 19:24

OP

I have private health care and my children go to the local independent

Good. Now, listen carefully: throughout your life, you will be part of a community of people who are all dependent on each other. In your later years you will probably be very dependent indeed.

And many of those people will have been kept fit to help you by the NHS and acquired the education they need to help you in the state schools.

As will the people who make the things you buy in shops, and sell you them in the shops, and . . . need I go on?

No man is an island said John Donne, and as he said it four hundred years ago he can be forgiven the sexism. So please don't tell us that you get no value for your taxes. you do.

timer · 08/02/2015 19:40

"No man is an island, said John Donne. I am. I'm Ibiza" said that guy out of "About A Boy".

Maybe the op is Ibiza? Or the Isle of Wight?

ShipwreckedAndComatose · 08/02/2015 19:45

Clafoutis, pointy.

I for one, will be ordering it the very next time I see it on a menu and will be thinking of MN sniggering when I do!!

Andrewofgg · 08/02/2015 19:51

timer Whichever island OP thinks she is, she is delusional!
