I know a 'Phil' McCracken but I don't think his name is really Phil, I think it's something like Dave but he's known as Phil to everyone.

I knew an Isaac Hunt but Isaac was just his nickname.

The thing is, that when I was small (ahem years ago) many of these words were not common currency, and for many people they just weren't on their radar, as they never said them.

Even Dick as a pseudonym for penis was pretty slang ish and therefore not common vocab for many, and dickhead is fairly new too.

And added to that, many of these names it would never in a million years occur to me that they were odd, until I read it on a thread like this. That includes the Mike Hunt etc, Maybe because I pronounce the k and the H, so to me it is a push to make it sound like my cunt.
