It's that it's obviously total bollocks is what irritates me thorn. He's the sort who was going on about making vats of amazing stock in his overpriced restaurants years ago as the basis of his amazing food.

Who did you see with the baby oil PP - I couldn't make out who you meant!

JugglingLife · 24/01/2015 14:42

James Martin SmileGrin I was only a young wee thing too, literally did not know where to look.Shock

squoosh · 24/01/2015 14:47

Just checking to make sure Sparkling had been here and posted her horrific 'pubes in mixing bowl' photo of Mr Martin.

All is right with the world.

AnyFucker · 24/01/2015 14:47

I met JM when he was doing the Hospital Food thing.

He is as big as he looks on telly and was perfectly pleasant. Didn't seem to have a "see my sycophants around me" vibe.

squoosh · 24/01/2015 14:49

Marcus Wareing is my celeb chef of choice. I like that touch of psychopath he has in his lovely eyes.

silveroldie2 · 24/01/2015 14:50

Quite agree OP - can't stand him, so no longer watch Saturday Kitchen.

Did you ever see him on that programme where he took his poncy car to, I think, Italy to race? Didn't get very far and behaved like such a sulky arse.

charlingx · 24/01/2015 14:51

Since just seemed to say who I dont like I may aswell mention that I absolutely love Heston. Hes one of those that I know is not really attractive but defo wouldn't say no Wink

Grin squoosh the James Martin klaxon went off and i came straight over.

expatinscotland · 24/01/2015 14:58

Jamie with all his slobbery, 'Just kiss it with the spoon,' and slagging off the British, 'Sicilians can knock up a great meal for 20p.' Good for them, why don't you fuck off there if you love it so much?

MassaAttack · 24/01/2015 15:03

If Marcus Wareing spoke to me, I'd probably blush and giggle like a schoolgirl.

squoosh · 24/01/2015 15:05

And then I'd throw you in a boiling stew pot for firting with my Marcus.

wowfudge · 24/01/2015 15:05

But what is going on with Marcus's hair? It looks like he applied hairspray in 1981 and it has stayed put ever since.

squoosh · 24/01/2015 15:07

wowfudge your criticism angers Marcus.

AIBU to think that James Martin seems like a nob?!?
wowfudge · 24/01/2015 15:08

Like I give a crap! Actually - it has grown a bit, around the sides.

MassaAttack · 24/01/2015 15:10

He has a touch of the David Essex about him.

wowfudge · 24/01/2015 15:11

That's a slur on Mr Essex! He is nowhere nearly as twinkly as ole Dave.

squoosh · 24/01/2015 15:14

David Essex is too Lovejoy-ish to be compared to Marcus.

MassaAttack · 24/01/2015 15:15

Maybe Marcus is David's angry nephew.

I like to think Keith Floyd is my dad.

wowfudge · 24/01/2015 15:16

Oh my - if I'd been drinking tea I'd have spat it out in horror at that comment. Lovejoy is way more oily and had dyed hair. Didn't he? I really must go and tidy up instead of MNing every bloody twenty seconds.

dementedma · 24/01/2015 15:23

Michel Roux junior. OMG yes please.
Just saying.

Vintagebeads · 24/01/2015 15:31

I think James Martin seems nice !

Mind you DH worked gor MR jr and he threw a can of coke at his head, so clearly I am not the best judge.

Dinnerfor1 · 24/01/2015 15:37

I used to love James Martin and Saturday Kitchen, but I come from a family of keen cyclists and I could never forgive him for his anti-cycling comments. I think they really showed up what an arrogant idiot he is.

Sparklingbrook · 24/01/2015 15:39

I thought the thread was doing well to get this far before the cycling thing came up.....

Dinnerfor1 · 24/01/2015 15:45

I was surprised no one else had mentioned it.

I only remember it because both my mum and I really enjoyed Saturday Kitchen, and then that happened. My dad cycles a lot, and my mum cycles fairly regularly, so it was an important issue in our house.

charlingx · 24/01/2015 15:49

I had never seen the cycling thing before, seems my asumptions are somewhat correct Grin
