to wish that people would keep their fecking filthy dogs to themselves?

Lots of people on the school run (mainly mothers), in my area, take their dogs with them for some unfathomable reason. Most mornings DS3 and I have to dodge the fucking things as the owner has them on a long lead and they block the path with them and allow them to walk up to people.

This morning we had one pig ignorant woman let her dog almost trip DS over by the dog walking at his heels.

Another woman standing on the path talking to someone over the road, dog lead blocking the whole path, lets her dog jump up at my shopping bags, I have to ask her to move her dog.

Then further up, massive dog doing a big stinking shit (FFS who wants to smell that first thing in the morning in the street) dog lead again blocking the whole path, while woman chattering away on her phone, dog then comes to sniff at my bags.

ABU to say to people 'keep your filthy animal to yourself' and kick the next one who invades into my personal space.

Formerbabe, NHS Choices on toxoplasmosis:

The T. gondii parasite that causes toxoplasmosis is often found in the faeces of infected cats. Cats don't usually show any symptoms of toxoplasmosis, so you may not know whether your cat is infected.

Infected cats usually only excrete the parasite for a short period of time, usually two to three weeks after they're first infected.

If the T. gondii parasite gets into the environment or food chain, it can be ingested by humans. Infection can occur by:

consuming food, water or soil that's contaminated with infected cat's faeces

eating or handling raw, undercooked infected meat, such as pork, lamb or venison, or infected cured meat, such as salami

using knives and other utensils that have been in contact with undercooked or raw infected meat

drinking unpasteurised goats' milk or eating products made from it, such as cheese

Yes it's great that some people pick up their dog's turd but there are still disgusting smeary marks left all over the pavement/grass that are just as easy to accidentally tred in/get on buggy wheels etc. And these smeary marks leave a horrible whiff in the air on a hot day. Just yuck. YANBU op.

LST · 13/01/2015 14:08

My dogs are hard and leave no marks. what do you do about fox shit????

CuriouSir · 13/01/2015 14:08

And muzzles should be compulsory in public for sure. I guess MPs have dogs.

LST · 13/01/2015 14:09

Lolz at muzzles Grin

JoanHickson · 13/01/2015 14:10

Look around for the fox owner looking at the sky pretending they can't see the fox taking a dump.

CatThiefKeith · 13/01/2015 14:10

I live 5 doors along from a primary school, and opposite a park popular with dog walkers.

Dogs don't chuck their rubbish in my garden, ride their scooters into my car and scratch it, or kick stones at my cat.

I've never seen dog owners square up to each other and call each other 'slags' over a parking space, nor have I even seen a dog owner furtively usher their dog behind my front fence to go to the toilet. (Twice I have caught parents doing this, different ones too)

In future, being near a park will not put me off buying a property, but hell will freeze over before I live near a school again.

kali110 · 13/01/2015 14:11

Maybe a lot of children are scared of dogs because their parents have passed their fears onto them.

sanquhar · 13/01/2015 14:12

How can you be so cross over something so minor for so long?

You started this thread almost 4 hours ago you're as angry on the last post as you were on the first.

So a couple of dogs got in your way, big whoop!

A dog sniffed your shopping? Well crack out the smelling salts!

You need to calm down over minor irritations or you're going to end all bitter and shrivelled, like Zelda from terrahawks.

LST · 13/01/2015 14:12

Joan does having no owenrs magically make their poo ok then? Wow.

LST · 13/01/2015 14:14

People need to get a fucking grip. This is why I prefer my dog to most of the population

BubbleGirl01 · 13/01/2015 14:14

EveDallas you may report me to the RSPCA who would then tell you that YOU should have had your dog under control.

Grin at the Zelda reference sanquhar.

Interrobang · 13/01/2015 14:16

YANBU, OP. I wish we could have designated public areas that are dog-free zones. A whole county would be good. Country, better yet.
Yet many people want to devote 15 years of their lives to picking up poo. Weird.

LST · 13/01/2015 14:27

Yes all dogs do is shit.. get yourself a fecking grip!

OttiliaVonBCup · 13/01/2015 14:27

Picking up poo on a freezing day warms up your handsbang.

Don't knock it til you've tried it.

BubbleGirl01 · 13/01/2015 14:30

Ha ha, now we get into the personal insults because I don't rate doggie woggies over my fellow humans.

I actually look more like this.......

to wish that people would keep their fecking filthy dogs to themselves?

Ill get some joss sticks going and perhaps if we all start ommm-ing it'll help bring down the op's negative vibes.

squoosh · 13/01/2015 14:33

Awwww, I just want to stick my face in your belly and smoosh it.

Have a feeling your claws are quite sharp though! Wink

EveDallasRetd · 13/01/2015 14:33

Actually OP, under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 it is an offence to kick a dog, so I would call the police, not the RSPCA.

If you think it is acceptable to kick an animal simply because you think it could be a threat to you (or for sniffing your shopping), then you are very wrong.

You have not been hurt (nearly tripped up is not hurt), or threatened (how scared were your tins of beans exactly?), so you have no excuse to cause an animal pain.

squoosh · 13/01/2015 14:34

Do you need help getting up? You look a bit like a tortoise whose shell has turned over.

My ds is absolutely terrified of dogs in the street. Certainly no passing fear on here. We have dogs at home. He's ok if said dogs are on a lead and away from him, but screams the place down if they come up to him though. I can see his point, esp with the dogs who are bigger than him. Our dogs don't really take any notice of him so he's fine with them.
