These people don't think rape is bad, full stop. They think it is something to be boasted about or at the very least, joked about.

They are vile.

Back in October when some Sheffield Utd supporters hoped the rapist Ched Evans would return to their club, they crowed to opponents that he'd be coming back to 'rape your defence'.

Er, what?

I'd have expected a decent man to condemn that in horror. Especially one who was looking to appeal against his rape conviction.

After all, the rapist Ched Evans doesn't think he raped that young woman and has insisted that he abhors rape and has expressed sympathy for 'real' rape victims - whoever they are. His apologists have said the same.

I'd have also expected the club, the official supporters' association, the PFA and the FA to do that too.

But I don't think they did.

So why did no one except the mob gathered by Jean Hatchet tell those people to STFU?

There has not been any evidence of either. And the police have not received any formal complaint. It was just a smokescreen attempting to discredit the campaign.

Agree, Chunderella, but I think the board told GMP they were "low level" threats.

Anyway, no "side" in any debate should do that.
