It seems we are not allowed to speak about anything negative elsewhere. Please do not speak badly of Tricky Dicky and co.

bakeoffcakes he was aware from the outset they had insurance and that she had obtained a fit to fly letter before departure.

Would like to see some more comments on there & votes for the 2 posters though.

Nerf · 04/01/2015 00:03

Tough, you already asked me that - as before , I have already on one of these threads, criticised the racist comments. Not sure why their page containing racism makes it okay to call the mother a scumbag?

I usually back MNHQ but twice today they have removed threads that do not need removing.

One has annoyed me in particular because it left a vulnerable woman alone, who was having a conversation with us.

GraysAnalogy · 04/01/2015 00:07

What's the name of the facebook page? I can't click the link

forago · 04/01/2015 00:08

the baby I have recent experience of was 32 weeks sorry, not 30. Am still amazed they're being so apparently blase about a 29 week old.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 04/01/2015 00:08

Chippednailvarnish that link you posted just took me to netmums main page

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 04/01/2015 00:09

is there a thread over there on the same topic

Chippednailvarnish · 04/01/2015 00:10

The link still works for me - anyone techy here who can help?

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 04/01/2015 00:13

Sorry it worked this time Chippednailvarnish

A 29 weeker born in a good NY hospital has a 95%+ survival rate. Low chance of disability too. He appears to be breathing nasal cannula oxygen. Their confidence may be ill informed, but it is not misplaced, forago.

shadowfax07 · 04/01/2015 00:19

The posters on Tricky Dicky's page are foaming at the mouth at the setting up of his dodgy dealings group and reporting itGrin

forago · 04/01/2015 00:21

exactly - low, not almost nil like a healthy term baby. I'd be concentrating my energies in the first week or so making sure all was well, not worrying about new clothes or thinking about bills.

I think that's a bit unfair. I think that even when something like that happens you still have to deal with the practicalities of life to some extent at least. And I think it's unfair to question how much they love their baby or if they are showing sufficient concern because I don't think really they have done anything which can justify that.

I'm very cross about the way that fundraiser has been operated and the methods used, but I think to question them as parents crosses the line a bit.

forago · 04/01/2015 00:32

in fairness they could be still in shock but they should be telling their friend to stop and leave them to it in my opinion. They also aren't saying thanks very much for all that has been donated so far or thanks but we have enough now. Sorry but I do judge that, not their love for their baby.

ArsenicFaceCream · 04/01/2015 00:32

I think the attention (and the mention of the fundraising commission) might actually have scared him into tidying the whole thing up.

forago · 04/01/2015 00:33

there quite a lot of dissent shall we call it on his page now too.

Nerf · 04/01/2015 00:36

Fundraising board is only really useful if it's a signed up member - they don't really have teeth with non members and non charities.
I do think this is less dodgy and more not very competent and spiralled away from local idea.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 04/01/2015 00:36

The thing is people have offered to send parcels of clothes even tea or drop some stuff off or where to send it and those messages have been ignored by the person running the page.
