It seems we are not allowed to speak about anything negative elsewhere. Please do not speak badly of Tricky Dicky and co.

Hi all,
We do understand that there is a lot of confusion around this topic and, as we said yesterday, we don't mind a general discussion about the news story at all.
We agree, it is multilayered, what we don't think is in the spirit of the site is the rounding on two very new parents of a premature baby who have found themselves in a terrible situation. Parent blaming/shaming en masse is not in the spirit of the site. We had lots of reports from people who felt that there was bandwagon jumping going on and as there is a lack of factual information out there, lots of speculation.
The facts of the story are unclear and posts on a Facebook page being copy and pasted over here and pulled apart, really just feels a bit off to us. Surely the focus should be on the baby and the family and not on someone who has set up a fundraising page off his own back?
Mumsnet is a site for advice and support, you are welcome to discuss the facts of the news story but please bear in mind that this family could really use some moral support right now.

As we have said, it is fine to talk about the news story but we will be removing nasty personal attacks about individuals.
