That they never really landed on the moon, the rothschilds and their central banks in every country but two, jfk, Martin Luther King, the Whitehouse has actually admitted assignating malcom x, the pesticides they put in food to kill us and the flouride in water makes us stupid and is rat poised.

I may have been on ig to long... can I please have some common sense or is it true and the world's richest are out to get us and control us.

Oh the Paul Macartney lookalike is pure cray cray. I have stared and stared at the 'before and after' photos - what the fuck are they seeing that I'm not?! It's the same bloke with his hair brushed different. Brilliant!

TheSporkforeatingkyriarchy · 13/12/2014 13:35

Well, the Martin Luther King Jr. Assassination conspiracy (that the US government played a part in his murder) was proven in US court in 1999.

I think the Icke-type conspiracy theories and their usual pointing blame at mysterious, or not, others both gives comfort by creating an oversimplified overly powerful entity that we - the general public - to blame for everything for (thus relieving themselves of doing anything about the state of the world other than 'telling people the truth') and causes a lot of damage for those trying to challenge governments, corporations, and individuals (because governments, corporations, and particularly rich individuals do do horrific things behind the scenes and maintain systems of oppression and many find the discussion of conspiracy theories often takes a sprinkling of true things to legitimize their other theories which damages any discussion about any of it).

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:35

yes nomama they may have been once, a long long time ago.

petswinprizes · 13/12/2014 13:38

My favourite is the Declaration of Independence is fake, America won and we lost, but everyone pretends that we're not a secret State of the USA. Google it, it makes lots of sense.

I find them fascinating but I also get the rage about people believing some of them. I can laugh at moon landing deniers and lizard advocates, but when they start saying there was never a plane that hit the pentagon or sandy hook is fake it is just hideously disrespectful and offensive to the people who died and their families.

Fanfeckintastic · 13/12/2014 13:40

You would be unreasonable to believe allaconspiracy theories and you would be unreasonable to believe none of them.

It's a shame that the people who spout about them the most make the realistic theories lose credibility by believing in some truly barmy stuff.

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:41

tbh Thursday Sandy Hook was deeply weird, and closing down any discussion of it by shouting about disrespect doesn't really help.
And I wish people would stop cackling about lizards as another way to shut down debate, fgs it should be read as a metaphor.

Quietattheback · 13/12/2014 13:41

Cafelatteicecream - the building falls at free fall, how did the fire from the twin towers melt the steel beams on the opposite side so that they collapsed at the same time? It can't have been THAT hot, there is footage of first responders in and around the building in the hours before it's collapse.

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:42

although yes I do agree about people who are obsessed and believe any old shite they read online about planet X or whatever.

FriedFishAndBread · 13/12/2014 13:43

Apparently there are incidents that happen called false flags. For example a school is held up by gun point in america reported as true but actually not true. 911 was a inside job to get support for war and a huge false flag.

I'm not actually saying I do believe in everything on here but there's a lot to consider.

Also all the media is owned by three stations so none of its true

wobblyweebles · 13/12/2014 13:44

Sunny, my husband's family is also no longer Jewish but they are still treated as such by some people (generally those who don't want 'those sort of people' in their club).

wobblyweebles · 13/12/2014 13:46

The claims that school shootings are false flags are partly an attempt to undermine gun regulation that would protect children from being shot at school.

You really want to support them?

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:49

wobbly I can believe it I used to attend a rather nice private girls school in North London, one of those ones that make a certain type of London mnetter wet their pants, and guess what, they had a Jew quota! in the 1970s! it did change quite quickly after that though.

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:50

sorry I digress

BumGravy · 13/12/2014 13:51

Can we have more links to the theories in these threads please? I do find it all very interesting and would like to read more.

thursday · 13/12/2014 13:55

I really don't mind shutting down debate that involves harassing the bereaved families and accusing them of being actors by pointing out that it's not very nice.

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:55

have a google yourself bumgravy, as a lot of it is rubbish and you have to sift through and decide for yourself.
start by googling sandy hook

SunnyBaudelaire · 13/12/2014 13:56

nobody is harrassing anybody thursday

TidyDancer · 13/12/2014 13:57

Do people really believe that school shootings didn't happen? Specifically Sandy Hook or all of them?

The one CT that has always fascinated me is whether or not Kurt Cobain really committed suicide. The 'evidence' uncovered is extremely compelling and plausible.

thursday · 13/12/2014 14:01

Well I've read accounts of families saying they felt harasses by conspiracy theorists and media. I've read them accused of being actors who haven't had their child murdered. I find them more credible than someone with an axe to grind about gun laws or Israelis

KingJoffreysHasABigWhiteBeard · 13/12/2014 14:01

Kurt Cobain's suicide note was interesting.

It didn't read like a suicide note, looked like he just wanted to leave music...
...until the last few lines which were written in different handwriting.

All very odd. And very sad.

DoubleValiumLattePlease · 13/12/2014 14:06

What is Bohemia Grove? Please don't make me go back there!!

CuttedUpPear · 13/12/2014 14:08

What on earth is 'cray cray'?

A type of crustacean?

bottleofbeer · 13/12/2014 14:18

9/11 is dodgy as hell. We know about dodgy dossiers and lies about MEDs as a reason to go to war which saw thousands of troops inter middle East. Many of whom were killed. Why is it so unbelievable that they killed a few thousand of their own to go to war in Afghanistan?

bottleofbeer · 13/12/2014 14:18

WMD's. Sorry.
