To think that Tess Daly.....

Should be able to manage to stand in the right place on cue. Every chuffing week she comes dashing onto the Strictly set after a couple has danced as if it's a surprise that she's required to speak on national tv!!!!!! I dread to think what's she's paid to be so dire.

I like her! I think it's all part of the act. Don't think she'd be allowed to stuff up every week!

Yep Bruce used to come down to. Tess is just noticeable because she moves faster. Bruce never dashed!
She can't stand at the side while the dance is on. She'd be distracting and would possibly block some audience members view.

I like her to. To me she really seems to love the show and be very invests in it. She not as good as Claudia though I agree with that.

I really like her and agree with whoever said she's obviously told to dash on from that spot! Blame the floor manager not her.

I like the fact the show isn't about her, she's not tying to be the star. She just gets on with her job.

I can't bear her over- friendly northerner act. She reminds me of a comedienne called Marti Caine who I remember when I was little, she did the same thing. It does not feel genuine.
By the way, I am northern myself.

Bruce did the same thing. I remember thinking he most have had a senior moment and forgot where he was. With Tess it just looks like incompetence. I'm sure neither of those things are true, but it does look sloppy!

Yes is extremely false and yes, it is patronising. She's also wooden. She's not relaxing to watch, at all.

If you're northern the how else are you meant to pronounce 'couples' other than 'cupples'?

Cockneys would say 'cappuz' I guess.

She even looks a bit like her- apart from the hair colour. I think Marti Caine died in the mid 90s when I was about 15. They have the same mannerisms totally.

Yes, she did due quite young. Now that you mention it they are very similar. Shock Creepy. I'm also northern and it's not a 'typical northern type' that I'm aware of.

Tbh most female presenters annoy me. That's not because their female but I think because they're still picked on looks rather than skills.

I've warmed to her, but used to loathe watching her.

I think it's the over familiar 'I'm a down to earth girl like you' and the 'we are all best chums on this show ha ha ha'. It's too try hard. And you can tell she REALLY wants to snort when she laughs!

Still. She's grown on me a bit this year. In a 'bless her and her silliness' type way.

I thought she was truly dreadful doing the backstage chat bit which requires qualities she does not possess, but now she just has to stand still and read an autocue I don't mind her. And she's got great chemistry with Claude/ia. Also she's stopped wearing those godawful asymmetric frocks with no bust support.

Marti Cane was was a commedian and all round entertainer like Brucie is .
Tess is just a presenter and should not try to be what she isn't.Her voice is grating and hurts my ears!

I really thought Bruce should have called it a day. Until he did and now look what we have instead. Sad

YABU - I think she is really nice, as is Claudia! Then again I like Holly Willoughby too and I have been told that is not acceptable!!!
