My husband goes away to sea, and is currently on an oil rig. While he has been away, there may have been a couple of occasions when she has been invited onto the bed in the morning. If questioned, I will neither confirm nor deny this. Anyway, she followed me up with my cuppa this morning and stood beside the bed wagging and smiling etc and I told her no, get on her own bed. Have just come down to find her in my spot on the couch looking at me in what I can only describe as a challenging way!

FoxgloveFairy · 26/11/2014 22:09

Much how mine looks at the mo Dr. Elizabeth! She just doesn't appreciate what a good canine life she has with her obviously wonderful 'owners'. A couple of fields full of rabbits to chase while barking madly (she has a lot to learn about hunting!), at least two good meals a day and leftovers too. Her own comfy bed. I found her outside the other night abusing (verbally) a possum who was being rude right back it seems, being safe on a 6ft fence post of our veggie patch. Her job (self appointed) is the protection of our veg so she does do well there!

Are you on the app or the mobile website?

On the mobile website the little paper clip should link to your photos instantly.

BreconBeBuggered · 26/11/2014 23:17

I asked Ddog and he says FairyDog should follow his example and only use the dog bed for its intended purpose, ie to be humped and eaten. A reasonable owner can be trained to provide much more suitable sleeping equipment in the form of sofas and double beds.

YABU to have a separate bed for her. Your bed is her bed and that is it. You should be grateful she loves you enough to sleep on your bed.

Put some special pillows at the bottom just for her. If you loved her, you would...

You lot are disgusting, having A dog on your bed or sofa. As you can tell, my DH never let's A dog on the sofa. Grin

FoxgloveFairy · 27/11/2014 02:12

Sigh. You are of course right and I should feel grateful that she allows me to share my bed. If I was unkind, I might point out her excess body hair and bad breath, but that would be getting personal. Staywithme, I can see that your dogs are unloved and cruelly treated! Smile Anyhoo, when Mr F comes home, there may be a reckoning! Hairy dog arses will be banished to own (very comfy!) bed!

Omg. staywithme 8 dogs? Wow! I would say you're the crazy cat lady of the dog world, but it seems you're married. Grin Wink

N'er mind 'Awwww'! She weighs about 5 and half stone and knows it! Grin

(It was cute, though) :) She looks very comfy. Me, on the other hand...

FoxgloveFairy · 27/11/2014 03:30

Oh c'mon! You look v. comfy! She is just guarding you while you sleep like a loyal pooch! (cough, cough!) Mine is outside, making sure we aren't invaded by plovers at the moment.

OP posts:
sunflower49 · 27/11/2014 03:38

Ahem sorry yes. I am very grateful for her squashing me loyalties.

sunflower49 · 27/11/2014 03:39

I had to google Plovers Blush

FoxgloveFairy · 27/11/2014 03:45

Noisy birds! Who have chicks at the moment here (spring in Oz) so have to keep an eye on what Ms. Foxglove dog is up to. She doesn't seem to worry them much. They just shepherd the chicks through the fence to the field, where she can't get them.

I don't think anywhere is off limits to my dog (this was not the plan when we first got her, we're just weak!)
