I think she would do wonders for the country. Really wish she would cue milliband and be our next pm.

She has been pretty quiet recently, could this be because she is planning this?

I'd quite like Alan Johnson to consider standing as leader.

Bettercallsaul1 · 26/11/2014 13:18

Yes, I definitely agree about the private school double standards - one rule for politicians and another for the rest of the population. I think she lost a great deal of credibility and respect over that.

Practice what you preach is the number one rule for politicians, I think.

iseenodust · 26/11/2014 13:21

MrsPNut did you see Alan Johnson on HIGNFY? He said his best qualification for the job was he knew how to tuck into a bacon buttie. Grin I really don't think he wants the hassle of it.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 26/11/2014 13:21

No no and no

TheDogsMissingBollock · 26/11/2014 13:22

Agree, she's fab

MrsPnut · 26/11/2014 13:23

Which is why I think he's be good - it's one of those jobs that should never go to someone who wants it. :o

Showy · 26/11/2014 13:23

Ed Balls would be better than DA. Grin

Diane and Yvette should stick to Blue Peter Wink

Cherriesandapples · 26/11/2014 13:23

Yes, because all of the above and I saw her for he first time the other day and she was banging on about how she came from a migrant background and how people just needed to be educated about immigration and then they will accept it. She is completely so cut off from the reality of life / housing situation in London / Situation in NHS and Social care it is unreal!

ClaudiaNaughton · 26/11/2014 13:25

She'd be even worse than Ed and that's hard. Imagine having her to represent your country.Shock

Showy · 26/11/2014 13:26

Isn't that just the crux of it? The absolute best people to run the country aren't in politics. We should revolt and hand the country to people outside of politics. We could draw up a list.

clutchpearl · 26/11/2014 13:27

She won by 55% in a poor working class area. That totaly dispells any thoughts of her being out of touch!

OP posts:
HeeHiles · 26/11/2014 13:27

"West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children". Umm, therefore insinuating that any other Mum will not?

This ^ Hell no!

Bettercallsaul1 · 26/11/2014 13:27

Who is right - the Dog or the Bollock? Grin < helpfully derails thread on to nn's>

TheAlias · 26/11/2014 13:28

But they'd run away screaming Showy.

I've been saying for years that this is the problem with democracy - the people who want power are the very last people who should have it. Trouble is all the alternatives are rubbish too.

TheDogsMissingBollock · 26/11/2014 13:31

Grin @ Better

Showy · 26/11/2014 13:33

TheAlias, there is no solution. I realised the other day whilst listening to some people on a bus that I vote for the party which is the best for this country and the people in it, the gaggle of people on the bus were only interested in helping themselves. Chuck in politicians being the worst people to run the country and I despair. I don't know the answer.

RedToothBrush · 26/11/2014 13:34

Dear God no.

I would like ANY racist to be PM.

grimbletart · 26/11/2014 13:37

No.

TheAlias · 26/11/2014 13:37

That would be because she was the Labour candidate OP. The Labour majority in that constituency has been much he same for decades.

DrDre · 26/11/2014 13:39

She won by 55% in a poor working class area. That totaly dispells any thoughts of her being out of touch!

I don't agree - it's a traditional labour voting constituency. I think any labour candidate would win there. Being elected with a big majority doesn't mean you're "in touch."

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 26/11/2014 13:39

On 4 January 2012, she tweeted "White people love playing 'divide and rule' We should not play their game"

She is popular in her constituency, Clutch, which is why she is MP for that area. Doesn't mean she would make a good PM, responsible for the entire country.

iseenodust · 26/11/2014 13:42

"She won by 55% in a poor working class area. That totaly dispells any thoughts of her being out of touch!"

^^ Or is that a reflection of lifelong voting habits?

Callani · 26/11/2014 13:44

OP are you doing market research for the Labour party?

If so I think you can cross Dianne Abbott off your list...

hiddenhome · 26/11/2014 13:55

Hahahahahaha, please don't joke like this my insides are hurting Grin

ElfontheShelfIsWATCHINGYOUTOO · 26/11/2014 13:58

That totaly dispells any thoughts of her being out of touch!

Not to me her actions speak louder than her cheap words.
