Fucking Stupid Statement To Make.

I love broccoli.

who the fuck in their right mind loves fucking broccoli?

Broccoli is tolerable as a vegetable full of iron and stuff. But in no way ever is it lovable.

Kittens are lovable. Red wine is lovable. Chocolate is an enjoyable food stuff.

Broccoli is not fucking lovable. Therefore 'I love broccoli' is a fucking stupid thing to say.

I do love broccoli. Especially with a little bit of lemon juice, olive oil and sea salt sprinkled over it.

LoisHatesChristmas · 23/11/2014 18:21

Let the flaming commence! You goady troll! Grin

Discopanda · 23/11/2014 18:22

I love lamp

Staywithme · 23/11/2014 18:22

Parsnips are fucking horrible.

Now you're just extracting the urine. AngryGrin

Bambamb · 23/11/2014 18:22

mmmm broccoli is my favourite veg. DS's too. We live broccoli in our house. I also love cauliflower but not many other people seem to.

ScrambledSmegs · 23/11/2014 18:22

Parsnips are very nice.

I do not love them like I love broccoli though.

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 23/11/2014 18:22

Love broccoli, and parsnips (Even sprouts!). Red wine however doesn't like me, so white wine it is Grin

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/11/2014 18:23

Parsnips are death. Broccoli looks like little trees and is yummy. In my experience the most children will eat it of all the vegetables, therefore it is lovable.

PrettyPictures92 · 23/11/2014 18:23

I love broccoli!

Degustibusnonestdisputandem · 23/11/2014 18:23

Arf at disco panda

MehsMum · 23/11/2014 18:23

My DOG loves broccoli. He stands watching whenever I prepare it, in the desperate hope that I'll pitch him a chunk.

He loves all brassicas. Especially the tough bits that we don't want anyway.

PreMadonna · 23/11/2014 18:25

It's just a vegetable. Something that is eaten because we must, not because it is enjoyable.

cheese is enjoyable. Peanut butter tastes good. Vegetables, generally, are edible (apart from parsnips and sprouts) but are not a taste sensation.

I love broccolli. Lovely in a stir fry with ginger, soy sauce, or almonds. Heavenly in a gratin, I love the tenderstem. If I serve brocolli to my DD it gets eaten before the roast potatoes- but then her and I are devotees of the cruciferous bveg, cabbage, sprouts- all are just delicious.
If I gave my DD a choice between a plate of chocolate cake or a plate of broccoli then the broccoli would win hands down.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 23/11/2014 18:26

But I love broccoli and Brussels sprouts.

Red wine - yuk

Wantsunshine · 23/11/2014 18:26

Broccoli are mini trees that you can eat, amazing! According to my 5yo for me it's just veg I should eat

ShatnersBassoon · 23/11/2014 18:29

I like broccoli. I love sprouts and parsnips.

OwlWearingSunglasses · 23/11/2014 18:29

I once said at the school gate that my DS loved broccoli.

You would think I had said that I had a pet unicorn. Hmm

bigbluestars · 23/11/2014 18:30

PreMadonna- I have to disagree- I love veg. Last night I had stuffed red peppers- tonight I have just eaten baked aubergine with pine nuts and tomato- I love stuffed mushrooms, stir fried courgettes, roasted red peppers, bok choi braised in soy and ginger, simple steamed spring greens,. I do eat meat but I adore vegetables - they form the biggest part of my diet.

dancemom · 23/11/2014 18:35

Nope don't like red wine

?? rose wine though!

Also love parsnips. and peas. Most veg in fact. Except mushrooms.

iklboo · 23/11/2014 18:38

I like pie.

ChubbyKitty · 23/11/2014 18:39

Broccoli is tops. You're eating tiny trees!!

I also love cauliflower and sprouts. I used to ask for more when I was a child.

HelloItsMeFell · 23/11/2014 18:40

YANBU.

I do rather like broccoli but I must agree with you, compared to kittens, wine and chocolate it's not really up there.

Cockadoodledooo · 23/11/2014 18:40

I love broccoli!

Last week we were in the supermarket and we each picked one thing as a special treat. Mine was purple sprouting broccoli BlushGrin

TheGirlOnTheLanding · 23/11/2014 18:40

PreMadonna if your veg are not a taste sensation I would say you're not cooking them right. Sorry. Grin

MegMogandOwlToo · 23/11/2014 18:41

YABVU, and probably cooking it wrong.

Roasted tandoori broccoli, sautéed purple sprouting broccoli, even brocolli cheese... Delicious.
