Fucking Stupid Statement To Make.

I love broccoli.

who the fuck in their right mind loves fucking broccoli?

Broccoli is tolerable as a vegetable full of iron and stuff. But in no way ever is it lovable.

Kittens are lovable. Red wine is lovable. Chocolate is an enjoyable food stuff.

Broccoli is not fucking lovable. Therefore 'I love broccoli' is a fucking stupid thing to say.

fin.

Broccoli is foul. It smells and tastes rank, and the weird texture makes me want to gag.

I do, however, love roasted parsnips...

I will join your quiche. As long as there is no broccoli in it.

a little olive oil
1 medium yellow onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
6-8 broccoli stumps, trimmed
water
fresh ground sea salt and black pepper
seasonings [sage, basil, thyme, oregano, all delicious] to taste
optional: grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, handfuls of spinach
optional: non-dairy milk

Heat a little olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan. Add onions, stirring until translucent and then add garlic. Stir for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.

Add broccoli stumps and cover with just enough water. Season (you can add more later to taste). If using extra vegetables for variety, throw them in now, also, adding more water if necessary.

Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer, cover, and allow to cook until vegetables are softened, about 20 to 30 minutes.

When cooked through, using an immersion blender, whizz soup until smooth. Add non-dairy milk if desired to preferred smoothness.

DONT CHUCK AWAY THE STUMPS.

I really hate broccoli since pregnancy. YANBU.

I fucking love kale though. Not as much as kittens but it is good.

I like broccoli, but not as much as I like chocolate and kittens. Don't mind parsnips but dislike the way roast ones lure you into eating them by masquerading as roast potatoes. Sad

Sprouts. I've never had them. The smell of them cooking put me off for life. Maybe they too are the handiwork of Satan...along with toffees impregnated with nuts. Only the unholy could have dreamed that up. To quote a child on here a few weeks ago, "inconceivable".

YANBU. At all.
And, broccoli isn't even as bitter as it was when I were a lass. Then it made me want to vomit, now I can bring myself to eat it. Because it's good for me.

I love broccoli. And parsnips. And sprouts (cooked correctly, obviously). I do appreciate they are unlikely to love me back!

OTOH, I don't love cheap Cadburys chocolate. I'd sooner go without altogether. For example. We're all different.

To be honest though when people claim to like anchovies I don't believe them.

I love broccoli. You must be cooking it wrong.

I am not a lover of it, but I like it.

A friend of mine once said when he was young he thought broccoli was inedible if not in it's grey form. he also didn't like broccoli.

I wouldn't say I love broccoli but I do like it. Just can't be arsed preparing and cooking it.

I also like any wine (except for Liebfraumilch ), chocolate generally and pretty much anything which is either tasty or bad for you. However, the following foods are from the Devil's kitchen and have no place in my life:

Mushy peas, beetroot, spam fritters, rice pudding, tapioca and mashed potatoes.

Oh, and parsnips too. Yukkity yuk.
