Romeo Beckham gets £45 grand for a days work.

How much does this family need. Burberry have paid 12 year old Romeo £45.000 for one days work modeling. I don't wear Burberry myself but if I did that would probably put me off ever buying it again. How far will this family go for publicity and money. Small change to them though. But isn't there something wrong when a 12 year old gets in one day what it might take most of us a year or two to earn?

I'm so captivated by the Beckhams that i clearly stated upthread that they have been on my radar about once a year and i have no clue what 3 of their four children look like. Hmm i think you just make it up as you go along dont you.

What is wrong with VB trying to empower women through her clothing? How does that make her a bad role model? There is nothing wrong with making your passion into your career. She isnt obsessed with clothing, she enjoys clothing to an extent where she wants to do that as a job. Do you consider artists to be obsessed by art and therefore a bad role model? Are singers obsessed by music making them bad role models?

You have some strange 'logic'.

What is wrong with VB trying to empower women through her clothing....?

Cats you asked what is the difference between nice clothes and designer clothes. Probably a few grand.

Hmm

Yeah just ignore all the points in mine and others' posts and throw out ridiculous statements without any explanation. Great debate happening here.

Like i said, you're making it up as you go.

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:17

I can't keep up with every single post, "making it up as I go"?
More like you're deliberately pulling to shreds every word I write. Are you always so disagreeable?

OP posts:
Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:21

Cats you asked what is the difference between nice clothes and designer clothes. Probably a few grand.

Hmm designer clothing doesnt have a minimum price range. Do you even know what you are talking about?

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:22

Cat your statements are so contradictory. On the one hand you say that the Beckhams aren't on your radar, you don't know much about their lives or whatever and then you go on to say "she isn't obsessed with clothing, she enjoys clothes so much she wants to make it her career". You seem to know a lot about someone who is "not on your radar".

You do know that you asked if YWBU? Dont you? This isnt the agree with me board.

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:24

I saw one of VBs dresses in the summer, going for 5 grand.Confused

OP posts:
Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:26

I know which board I'm on, it's fine to disagree, but if you insult me and are rude then don't think I won't fire back.

OP posts:
Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:26

Yeah you're right, i live in her wardrobe and choose her knickers for her every day.

Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:28

You saw one dress?

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:30

Yes, I saw one dress, she was wearing it, a huge billowing one, didn't like it. Why, should I have seen more?

OP posts:
Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:31

then don't think I won't fire back.

I'm shaking.

Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:34

Well if you are going to start putting the woman down for her career and throw ridiculous statements about designer clothing about then yeah, seeing more than one dress might be helpful. Otherwise you're just spouting ill informed guff.

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 13/11/2014 17:34

You're both going round in circles, you'll get dizzy at this rate Wink.

Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:39

Im already dizzy at all OP's back pedalling and changing directions. Confused

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:39

cat......I don't wish to insult you but you do sound rather immature. I'm certainly not putting anyone down for their career, but are you trying to imply that some of VBs stuff is affordable to the average man on the street. If you are then it is you who is ill informed.

Purpleroxy · 13/11/2014 17:41

David and Victoria are talented. Romeo is a good looking kid. Burberry get a lot of publicity.
Everyone's a winner really!

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:41

Cat you are totally taking my thread off track with your petty snide remarks. Unless you have something intelligent to say then please don't bother.

OP posts:
Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:42

You absolutely are putting her down for her career. You said that she is a bad role model because she is 'obsessed' with designer clothing and that she wasnt doing anything worthwhile. Your posts are there for all to see.

are you trying to imply that some of VBs stuff is affordable to the average man on the street

Nope. Never said anything like that.

And yes, you are trying to insult me Wink

Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:45

Yes, it was me that took your thread off track Hmm

You dont have to agree with me or like what i say but you dont get to say where i post.

Pollyteacakes · 13/11/2014 17:46

You have deliberately goaded me into saying things that weren't relevant to the post. I have said that I don't think she's a good role model for girls and I'll stand by that......and your posts are there for all to see. You seem to love arguing as is very clear.

OP posts:
Catsarebastards · 13/11/2014 17:51

I havent goaded you into anything. Own your words! Ive posted youve posted, ive replied, youve replied. You had plenty disagreeing with you long before i even saw this thread. Youve changed your mind throughout the thread about what you actually meant when people disagreed with you and now you are trying to blame me for 'making you say things' you didnt want to say. Own your words OP.

carovioletfizz · 13/11/2014 17:55

VB trying to empower women through her clothing.

Seriously? What a ridiculous statement.

I actually consider her a very poor role model - she is painfully thin and has in the past boasted about getting into a seven year old size jeans and never having read a book. I can think of far better role models for my daughter than her. Good that she's doing some charity work, but she clearly works at looking that skeletal rather than being naturally so.
