Again I take your point. I follow football only casually - England matches, high profile Premiership, a residual interest in the team supported by my dad.
I don't remember what's happened to them. In my memory, they did okay for a while because they were useful players. As I remember, Bowyer, who I think was also a Welsh international with feral teeth, continued to have disciplinary problems.
Who knows where they are now? Buy-to-let landlords, possibly. I remember the Liverpool chant of We All Live In A Robbie Fowler House.
I do remember that the one who came off worst in that case, that was blown apart by the blundering Sunday Mirror who were polishing their anti-racist credentials, was Michael Dubarry.
He didn't seem to have had much to do with the alleged assault other than being there. And was compelled to give prosecution evidence. And was slaughtered by fans for it. And was black.
