I am absolutely appalled. I really really hope this doesn't mean he will ever play for Wales. I will definitely be taking part in some kind of protest if that happens.

I want Ched Evans to accept he is guilty of raping that girl. I want him stop trying to tell us he was only "cheating". I want him to call off the baying pack which includes his close family and friends that are still going after that girl. I want him to withdraw his request to appeal his sentence.

After that, maybe we'll talk about him going back into football.

Most people who come out of prison do not have their old job held open for them and in a serious crime like rape it is often not considered appropriate for them to return to their previous career.

Yes he was found guilty. He has served half his sentence and used his time running a facebook page and twitter account slagging off his victim.

He needs to say he was wrong, that he committed a crime and that he is responsible.

I don't know how his family and friends, including his girlfriend, can seriously think that harassing the victim is right in any way. Who would sit there and think "oh I know, I'll have someone hack into her facebook account and see what I can come up with"??

I still maintain that they are comfortable placing Convicted Rapist Ched Evans as the victim because they view the REAL victim as less than human, less "worthy", less important than them. Therefore, she's negligible damage in their deliberations. It's a wealthy or elitist mindset IMO.

I think he is an awful person but Im genuinely confused as to what people want him to do job wise if they dont want him to return to football.

Could he even EVER play for England anyway?? They're hardly going to be clever choosing him for the team, not only from a PR perspective, but also because his conviction would bar him from entering some countries - surely that limits his usefulness to the team... not to mention each and every time it happens, the rape trial will be dragged out for public consumption once again (rightly so).

Sorry, but I don't get this at all. Talented footballers a ten a penny... why sign one that has all this baggage attached when they can easily get one cheaper, younger, that hasn't done the crime and have all the nasty PR implications??
