Is extremely rude and horrible to his wife?

I used to like him and find him funny. But over recent weeks I'm gob smacked at some of the stuff he comes out with. He tells June to shut up constantly and his comments about women are a bit off recently .

I'm watching it now on catch up and he's told her to shut it twice - and not in a ' jokey' way.

Horrible man

So , am I alone in this? Anyone else noticed ?

Dom and stephs b&b was in 4 in a bed, it looked amazing and the price included a fully stocked drinks cabinet in each room.

Mrsjayy · 10/11/2014 16:22

Yeah I have seen their 4 in a bed wonder if they gave that couple their free wedding bet that guy only propsed at the chance of a free wedding

daddyorchipsdaddyorchips · 10/11/2014 16:34

This is a delightful piece on Leon and June's relationship.

I think they are adorable.

Love Gogglebox. When the Rev said someone on twitter had called her a "bitch midget" hahahaha.

JohnnyAlucard · 10/11/2014 16:52

Like pretty much everyone here I love the Siddiquis. My favourite episode of them was when Mr Siddiquis snr had an elastic band was kidding his sons on that he was going to shoot them with it and you could just see 50 years droping off and you had a (bigger than normal ) glimpse of the naughty kid he must have been.

I like the Tappers they seem like a really nice normal happy family.

The posh drunk couple are funny as well I like the way over the course of the evening they get redder and redder. The Sandra's with their takeaway are good too.

By and large the newer people they get dont seem to be as good. I've not really warmed to the Vicar. Does anyone remeber the older couple with the guy with the beard they seemed well odd. I wouldnt think it would be that hard to find people that are half way normal and quite funny and interesting who would be willing to be filmed watching the telly.

JohnnyAlucard · 10/11/2014 16:56

I do agree with OP that Leon needs to calm down a bit with the comments about the appearance of women who are young enough to be his grandaughters it doesnt come across well.

NorbertDentressangle · 10/11/2014 16:58

I don't like Leon for all the reasons others have mentioned. He really grates on me now.

I like Steph and Dom (Dom's "walking down to the the cellar" was a great comedy moment), the Sandras (so loud though!), the Siddiquis (very quick, dry wit and seem really close) and the hairdressers (I like Stephen's tricks like the spray bottle sneeze).

The family with the German dad are starting to entertain me more now

I'm not keen on the Tappers though (too shouty and whiny).

Also, the 2 men under the arty tits - are they a a couple or just friends?
And does anyone else think the one looks like Father Jack (the one man that is, not the one tit Grin)

JohnnyAlucard · 10/11/2014 17:14

Dom's DowntonAbbey "i've got no arms " was comedy gold as well

normansgreasybarnet · 10/11/2014 17:14

Leon is horrible to June and semms to enjoy pulling the women on TV's appearances to bits (especially the older ones), but leers like an ole perv over the younger ones.

It's a shame. I liked him to start with. Now he comes across as PILLOCK! (one of his favourite words)
He also reminds me a bit of Nigel Farage Grin

Sallystyle · 10/11/2014 17:18

I hate that man with a passion.

Miserable, nasty bastard.

normansgreasybarnet · 10/11/2014 17:20

I really like the girl who is with her parents - the Moffatt family I think. She is very sharp and sees things for what they are.

One of my favorite families too.

squoosh · 10/11/2014 17:20

Dom is only 50. I was shocked to learn that.

Sallystyle · 10/11/2014 17:22

Don't like Sandy and Sandra either. Big mouths who scream all the time and do my head in.

squoosh · 10/11/2014 17:22

I quite like Leon.

Another great comedy moment was when the rev 's dog knocked the blokes tea on him by waving his legs in the air Grin

mymummademelistentoshitmusic · 10/11/2014 17:28

We said Father Jack, Norbert!

normansgreasybarnet · 10/11/2014 17:37

Did they really say they voted ukip I don't remember that I did go urgh when she thought Nige was a decent bloke. She is quite whiney though

I really like that family. The son and daughter have come out with some really funny comments.

As for the Nigel Farage comments.
It's interesting for people to see that even some mixed race families agree with some of his policies!
As difficult as that is to believe!

squoosh · 10/11/2014 17:40

That mother annoyed me in the last series, she made some twattish remarks about nurses.

normansgreasybarnet · 10/11/2014 18:01

I really like Steph & Dom!
And the Siddiquis
and,
well most of them really Smile
But, can somebody tell me which parties they support?
Because if they're different to the one I support I will have to stop liking them! Shock

Hang on a minute, I'm an adult, not 12 years old. They can support who they want as can all the Gogglebox members
It's a free country.

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 10/11/2014 18:01

I love Gogglebox! Steven and Christopher are my favourites, really funny and entertaining. I bet they'd be great to have as friends. Sandy and Sandra are a bit too loud and annoying. Not keen on the new couple in the caravan - very forgettable.

I noticed Leon's comments on Friday too. Not impressed. Think he's getting a bit out of line at times and needs tone down the sexism and general misogyny.

I still love it though. I love how they all cry at really sad programmes about prem babies or dogs being stolen and carted off it trucks. Same things I cry at when watching TV.

VodkaJelly · 10/11/2014 18:27

I have never like Leon or June much. I could never understand everyone raving about how great he was.

I love Scarlett and her family. When they were watching the Stand up To Cancer and she was crying talking about when her dad? had cancer. You could see what a close family they are. She is really funny aswell.

I like all the others, even the new family from Manchester.

Dont really like the blokes that sit under the pictures of the tits!

What every happened to the 2 young blokes that lived in a flat in Liverpool? They were hilarious!

AvonCallingBarksdale · 10/11/2014 18:37

I like nearly all of them, especially the gay hairdressers, Steph and Dom and the Sidiqquis, oh, and the Moffats and don't mind June and Leon. I quite like the new Manc family, too, and I don't get what other posters are saying about the dad and boys being mean to the mum. He made me laugh last week when the mum said it was the last Downton Abbey next week and he said "Fucking hope so" , v deadpan. Tappers are v close, especially like the boy and dad's relationship. I like the Brighton family, but I didn't see the first series, so maybe missed all the homophobic/UKIP stuff that PP are referring to? The mum was very funny when the kids were commenting that it was weird that they were a mixture of Greek and English and that the mum was the only one in the family with no Greek in her, and she came straight back with "Oh, I've had a little Greek in me Wink". cue horribly embarrassed kids Grin

AvonCallingBarksdale · 10/11/2014 18:38

Ahem, bit of a superfan, I'm afraid Smile
