Looks like this weekend she alone will hold the record for most British female number one singles. I like her but she just has people pick songs for her and records an album in a week.

Currently the record is shared with Rita ora and geri halliwell. Ora has an amazing voice. Halliwell wrote lots of her songs and even signs many of them so her deaf fans can enjoy them.

I don't what it is about Cheryl but I have always really,really disliked her. She's pretty yes, but quite honestly so are millions of other young women in the UK. I know the toilet attendant incident was a long time ago, but she's as far as I am aware never ever expressed any kind of remorse for it. The fact that she thought it was acceptable to smash someone in the face says a lot about her IMO. And even now there is still and edge to her, every now and then the mask skips and you see the real her, she was very unpleasant to a contestant on this series of the X Factor (Rain I think her name was?). Strip away the layers of make up, hair extensions and veneers and she's just a rough gobshite from a scummy family on sink estate.

You can't polish a turd when all is said and done. She can't sing for toffee either, and before someone comes along and says neither can Kylie or Madonna, Cheryl manages to make both sound like Aretha Franklin.

I couldn't name a single song she has done. I must have missed her solo career completely

Terrible. When you consider beautiful singers like Rumer. It's all marketing with Cheryl.

No, she really, really can't. Did you see her at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee? I actually think that was probably the beginning of the end for her. She was kind of a biggish deal up until then, at least in the UK (although she was arguably already on the slide after being canned from X-Factor US) but after that, I think things started to go downhill for her. I don't mean anything dramatic happened, but she just got less and less relevant. If she hadn't been good looking, she would never have had any kind of career, and looks fade.

She has sold a lot of records and is a successful woman despite all the tabloid bollocks. Is it so hard to be happy for her and move on?

I'm sure Annie Lennox, who has more talent in her little finger than most of the women you mentioned in your post all together, isn't losing any sleep over it. In fact, what I've read about her leads me to believe she would support a woman in her industry to be a success.
