To be a bit miffed that people coo over my Pug puppy more than they do my newborn DD

Seriously I must have been stopped about 20 times today with people wanting to touch and cuddle Daisy Mae my puppy, I don't mind as I am socialising her , but my beautiful new born gets either totally ignored or people give a quick glance into the pram look at me as if to say oh is a baby then give puppy their full attention.

Oh well at least no-one has said Daisy Mae has my eyes or nose

Kudos to you. You know I forgot (blanked it due to PTSD?) but we got a pup 14 years ago when I was pregnant. I can't remember much about the pup's puppyhood at all (except remember wondering when his puppy bitey phase would end and if it would ever end and then waking up one day and realising it had ended...)

Sadly that dog got a tumour and died when he was only six so the baby who was born when he was a pup, has no memory of him, now... Would have been great for them to totally grow up together. But it must have been nightmarish at the time!
