Apologies if there already is one but I haven't found it. Quite a few acronyms I know/can figure out but there are some ones that no matter how long I think, I just can't figure out what they stand for. AIBU (I know that one!) to think a glossary would be helpful? (Feel free to just say what they all mean for me)

I fucking love this thread! OP you're already a legend this made me chuckle !

ithoughtofitfirst · 22/10/2014 06:35

This thread is mean. You'd never get this on netmums hun.

HavanaSlife · 22/10/2014 07:08

Netmums wouldn't let me join so I ended up here. Thank fuck

Fuckerysmuckeryboilsnspornery · 22/10/2014 07:25

Welcome to the...dark side OP. BA BA BAAAAAA!

Charitybelle · 22/10/2014 07:41

I came here from babycentre if you think netmums is saccharine, you would not be able to handle that place. No swearing, no controversial opinions, just undiluted 24/7 sisterly love and support.
Made me want to puke, so I'm here! Love it Grin

BiscuitsAreMyDownfall · 22/10/2014 07:44

I've just clicked on the link in regards to the acronyms in NM. In that thread the OP called it MumsNet, but only got one reply and that was just the list of acronyms and their meaning. That goes to show how much better it is over here after the fun we have had regarding this thread.

stupidlybroody · 22/10/2014 08:12

I never realised mumsnet was netmums in reverse...I'm not the only stupid one right??

ElphabaTheGreen · 22/10/2014 08:14

Yea, ths iz mean. Only stupid ppl use swear words as there vocabilary is 2 small.

Ur baby ur rulz hun xxx

BuzzardBird · 22/10/2014 09:52

I accidently trampled a quiche in Tesco if that counts but it was really made better by the fact that the offending foot slid forwards resulting in a clumsy effort at the splits Blush

Bambambini · 22/10/2014 09:53

Come on, fair dues. Their duck pouting, posing photo avatars are very amusing.

happygirl87 · 22/10/2014 13:38

My all time favourite description of the difference between NH and MN is that over here, it's more acceptable to say "cunt" than "hubby" Grin

BlueberryWafer · 22/10/2014 13:52

I was on NetHuns before I discovered the light. Too much baby dust and "is this positive or evap". And quite frankly a website for adults that filters out swearing (including "bloody" and "frig") makes me slightly uneasy!

Bt seriously Hun if u eva need a chat or sum babydust jst holla. Hugz. Xxxxxx

maras2 · 22/10/2014 14:04

I often trawl the huns and am rather surprised at the contempt most posters have for social services or social scumbags as they call them < without sanction >

CherryDolphin · 22/10/2014 14:05

Ah well, it's not like it's the first time mumsnet and netmums have been mixed up Wink

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 22/10/2014 14:10

"Obviously the other site is inferior as i have never heard of it. ( niiiice mumsnetters, caaalm mumsnetters)"

Ohhh cornishmaia - I think I love you already! That made me laugh out loud.

I think you are going to fit right in here.

Numanoid · 22/10/2014 14:40

I just had a look at Netmums. Once my eyes had adjusted to the glare, the first thread I looked at contained "lol" "hun" and "little angels". And almost every post ended in "xxx".
The "lol" used in place of a period was enough to put me off...

ElphabaTheGreen · 22/10/2014 14:48

And they all refer to themselves as 'mummy' which I find irrationally infuriating, especially the ubiquitous, 'Any other mummy's [sic] with the same problem? xx'

OTheHugeManatee · 22/10/2014 14:52

I would like to suggest UNUBHX

moxon · 22/10/2014 15:50

Why why why would anyone ever use the word 'hubby'? What place could it possibly have in polite society?!

BlueberryWafer · 22/10/2014 15:53

Probably within the same social circles that call their female friends 'wifey'.

moxon · 22/10/2014 15:56

And sit. Good dog.

Roonerspism · 22/10/2014 16:00

Thanks OP. I have had a bugger of a day and this thread has made me LOL.

Hugz. Xxxxx :)

I do like the owls on netmums, though. Totes want some of them around here.
