Apologies if there already is one but I haven't found it. Quite a few acronyms I know/can figure out but there are some ones that no matter how long I think, I just can't figure out what they stand for. AIBU (I know that one!) to think a glossary would be helpful? (Feel free to just say what they all mean for me)

Just in case you really aren't aware, though I have my doubts, this is Mumsnet NOT Netmums! N'er the twain shall meet and all that. We don't exactly get on...

SanitaryOwl · 21/10/2014 13:39

THIS IS NOT NETMUMS. Don't me a muppet, lovely ;)

fairgame · 21/10/2014 13:39

Cornish since you seem a little lost, i will kindly point out that you are on MUMSNET!
Netmums is the down the corridor first on the left, follow the glitter and rainbows hun xx

Sprink · 21/10/2014 13:40

Cornishmaia, this site is mumsnet and your original question mentioned netmums, which is a different website.

Hence all the cryptic replies.

Enjoy.

cornishmaia · 21/10/2014 13:40

Which words?
Mumsnet

talk>am i being unreasonable

Or something that i am not seeing even though it is in plain view (i do that a lot). Am on mobile if it is only visible on desk top. Sorry not good with websites.

GrouchyKiwi · 21/10/2014 13:40

My cackling made my baby grin so thanks for that. Thanks

ArtDecoGirly · 21/10/2014 13:41

Uh-oh... do not mention the N word. And especially don't get the two mixed up!! This is no NM!

HattyMonkey · 21/10/2014 13:42

Have a look at the name of the site and have a look at your op again. then play spot the difference.

LiviaDruscillaAugusta · 21/10/2014 13:43

OP - you seem to have us confused with netmums! Grin

ScreamingSmegs · 21/10/2014 13:43

This is Mumsnet.

Netmums is a different site.

From what I've read, they don't like us. Which is a shame, but oh well.

cornishmaia · 21/10/2014 13:43

Sorry! Spelt it wrong way round. I didnt realise there was another ( vastly inferior?) site with such a similar name. Sorry!
Also i dont have a sister.

ArtDecoGirly · 21/10/2014 13:44

Sprink It wasn't just the OP... also Sorry for asking but I am fairly new to netmums and am not great at getting around websites

(Hands cornishmaia a map. And a shield)

UsedtobeFeckless · 21/10/2014 13:45

Mmm ... Possibility of Micheal being extraced ...

ghostyslovesheep · 21/10/2014 13:45

Oh Hun did you get lost :( iiiii for u babe xxxx

Net mums is a totally different site op full of tickers and Luvz xxxx

CinnabarRed · 21/10/2014 13:45

Vastly inferior.

The sister comment is because someone has started a thread on NM talking about being new to MN. Same mistake in reverse.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 21/10/2014 13:46

OP you called us netmums twice in your first two posts, possibly without realising.

There is a really big difference and people on this site will take offence at being confused with netmums. Netmums don't like Mumsnetters much either Smile

seanbonbon · 21/10/2014 13:47

"We're not the people's front of Judea we're the Judean's people's front - splitters!!!!"

I always think of this when a netmuns/mumsnet thread pops up Grin

UsedtobeFeckless · 21/10/2014 13:47

Oh ffs ( For Fuck's Sake ) extracted - even!

headinhands · 21/10/2014 13:47

Netmums Anacronyms *

cherrybombxo · 21/10/2014 13:47

Mmm ... Possibility of Micheal being extraced ...

That's what I was thinking, it all seems very forced and deliberate...

Weelass83 · 21/10/2014 13:49

Don't worry cornish, you'll get used to it eventually! And welcome - that was a fantastic way of introducing yourself to Mumsnet Grin

I'm slowly getting used to all the lingo, but one thing I've recently come across which has confused me is things like: 31/4 when describing (I think) perhaps a premature baby? Can anyone enlighten me please? Smile x

cornishmaia · 21/10/2014 13:51

Have reported my post and asked them to correct the site name ( and glossary). Obviously the other site is inferior as i have never heard of it. ( niiiice mumsnetters, caaalm mumsnetters)

OP posts:
Showy · 21/10/2014 13:53

Weelass 31+4 means 31 weeks and 4 days gestation. My babies were born at 38+6 and 37+0 for example.

UsedtobeFeckless · 21/10/2014 13:54

Grin Total windup Hi Cornish...

Pippidoeswhatshewants · 21/10/2014 13:54

Grin I love you, OP!
