Having grown up around smokers, I don't think they care - they really only care about their addiction, and whinging about the unfairness of others not wanting to be near it. My father would smoke around the grandchildren if he was let. Frankly, I'm completely immune to it by now.

This is a selection of phrases from this thread which is (so far) relatively short for a MN smoking thread but we get one every few days and they seem to serve no purpose other than an excuse for people to spill bile all over the place! You're not telling anybody anything new and you're not changing anything. You're just grabbing the opportunity to once again be deeply shitty about a bunch of people, most of whom became addicted as children to a product that will kill half of them and from whom the govt. makes an absolute fortune. It's getting old.

Why don't you actually campaign for some real change and start a petition to ban the sale of tobacco? Why don't you go over to the stop smoking section and support some people who are trying to quit?

I am not a rabid anti smoker, I smoked for years, it was really hard giving up, and I try and support friends and family when they have tried to quit.

You include my words in your list, 'inconsiderate' and 'breathing smoke over my ds', but I fail to see what is so bad about those words?
