To send my son to school in his sister's pink raincoat.

What with the fact he is raining. And has lost his raincoat. And left his school coat at school - again.

I have offended his dignity. WIBU to hope that this will spur him to remember his coat in the future?

It is strange but pink was a colour for boys until the 1930s as it is a sort of red which is certainly a male colour. Nobody seems to be sure why it became pink for girls

When my DS was in Yr7 (and DD in Yr5) he kept leaving his coats in school , even the roll-up-really-tiny kagoule types to go back in his bag .
One pissing-down-day , no coats , he had the choice of DD coat v No Coat.

He chose No Coat and got drenched , and on my next NWD , I gave him a huge bag to empty his locker and I picked him up.

No way would I force either of my DC to wear something they didn't want to .
