Have you ever received a really strange response to a post on here?

I remember about a year ago posting about someone at work who talked constantly about her child, on and on and was I being unreasonable to find it a bit very annoying. I got the usual mix of YABU, YANBU, all perfectly logical responses. Then someone posted 'YABU. Maybe she's nervous', disappeared and never posted again on the thread Confused.

Just wondering what odd or illogical responses you've had to posts on here?

I cannot be bothered to trawl back, although I will if I have to but would the poster who mentioned QE and legal letters via MNHQ please pm me?

Paradisetarmaced · 10/10/2014 23:06

I can't work how to do it on phone but I did trawl back and I found the posters I would like to contact.
They are:
H-a-f-f-d-o-n-g-a
And
Fair game. (One word).
I can't work out how to pm either of these two on mob and would be grateful if someone would pm them to ask them to pm me.
Thx.

HaroldLloyd · 10/10/2014 23:09

If you look to your right >>> by your name there should be an arrow. You can PM from that.

Paradisetarmaced · 10/10/2014 23:13

Thanks Harold but I don't get it. I know how to pm but the names get auto corrected, hence hyphens.
Would you do me one hell of a favour and pm them?
X

when I was a newbie I posted on a thread about cockerel noises or something similar. It was a thread where the op was moaning about the noise from neighbours in a rural setting (they had moved their from inner city and expected silences from all around). I posted something to the effect of if you live in a rural area, these are the noises you should expect - cue a couple of posters replying that as a teacher I should know better (profile was public then, different nn) Hmm

Paradisetarmaced · 11/10/2014 14:43

I've figured it out Maryz, I think.
I'm wondering if QE is some code or an establishment in North London.

PrettyPictures92 · 11/10/2014 18:47

It's a school I think parade. How long has mn been back up and running? I've been pissing myself laughing at the work related thread for the whole day, my sides hurt and I've been crying with laughter so much my dd is concerned that I'm upset and refuses to leave my side Confused

Paradisetarmaced · 11/10/2014 21:01

FFs. Is it QE boy's in Barnet?
If not, I am barking up the wrong tree?
If it is, I'd like to contribute a tale.

TheSpottedZebra · 11/10/2014 21:06

Paradise, did you contact (private message) the poster s you mentioned, as per directions that you were given?

PrettyPictures92 · 11/10/2014 21:07

You'd like to continue with the tale about something that gets you threatened with legal action? Hmm

Paradisetarmaced · 11/10/2014 21:20

Yeah , I did.
I have no idea what caused the legal action. It's only a school, if indeed that is what QE means. That is what I would like to establish.

Haffdonga · 11/10/2014 21:27

Just to clarify - the litigious QE is not in Barnett.

As youi were.

Paradisetarmaced · 11/10/2014 21:41

Just to clarify, Haff has pm'd me and her QE is miles away.

As you were.

TheOriginalSteamingNit · 11/10/2014 21:48

The QE that was mentioned as being a bit solicitor-happy is northern.

And anything else is likely to get me another scary email.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 11/10/2014 21:57

I thought you meant the actual Queen Blush

Paradisetarmaced · 11/10/2014 21:58

It sounds grim oop North.
