I'm with Millie. If you know the correct form why would you write the incorrect one, however informal the situation? Poor excuse. And it dies affect comprehension.

goingmadinthecountry · 24/09/2014 21:45

It's really not OK that so few people use our language properly. We are not in the wrong and we are not to be ridiculed. It's easy and taught at primary level in all schools. The people who don't understand basic English are wrong. It's never OK to dumb yourself down, especially if you re a mum.

Fenton · 24/09/2014 21:45

You don't have to tell me, it was a joke.

ithoughtofitfirst · 24/09/2014 21:45

HaroldLloyd · 24/09/2014 21:48

usualsuspect333 · 24/09/2014 21:48

Is it ok if you are a dad?

goingmadinthecountry · 24/09/2014 21:49

Mm. Loud'ed. Neither an apostrophe of omission nor a possessive apostrophe. Tangled web...

goingmadinthecountry · 24/09/2014 21:49

Disclaimer: drinking Malbec.

TeaAndALemonTart · 24/09/2014 21:50

goingmadinthecountry · 24/09/2014 21:51

No, not good as a dad either.

HaroldLloyd · 24/09/2014 21:51

That's no excuse! NONE!

You are driving down standards. DISCUSTIN.

MillieMoodle · 24/09/2014 21:53

As was my comment....
(Confession: I did check it didn't autocorrect though. Didn't want the anti-grammar police getting excited because I'd fallen into their wicked ways)

Fenton · 24/09/2014 21:56

Rather excessive use of full stops there Millie.

The rest is lovely though.
