siiiiiiiiigh · 21/09/2014 14:09

Sorry, filled the last thread with this, thought I'd better be part of Team Scottish MN and work together for those of us on the old thread...

Here's Armando's thoughts. I vote him in for everything.

Bloody hell those grapes are sour, deeedeee.

SirChenjin · 26/09/2014 23:10

Most rousing deee - the words "they can take our lives" come to mind.

OOAOML · 26/09/2014 23:10

Take it you're too busy trying not to vomit to notice that I did my best to address all the points you made?

trixymalixy · 26/09/2014 23:10

Oh believe me dee, I'm not going away either. I've already said I will get out and campaign because I feel very passionately that independence is not the right thing for Scotland.

StatisticallyChallenged · 26/09/2014 23:14

Yup, I'm not going away either. Although apparently I just sound like an election pledge when I'm telling the truth so I should clearly spend more time in politics.

I'm not party political as I've mentioned before Deeedeee

deeedeee · 26/09/2014 23:15

No I'm not calling you a liar. I'm observing that your ways of helping the poor come from a particular political angle.

I do not want an independant Scotland at any cost. For me that was never the point. An independant Scotland was a way for people with more green left leaning politics to have a chance of political representation, instead of constantly having to live in this country full of centre, me first , financial market s first crap that uses war as a smoke screen to hide selling off public services and the land from
under our feet for the profit if the few.

And you all defended that and believe in that.

Has there been a swelling in Tory and Labour Party membership too? Tory and labour are finished in Scotland.

OOAOML · 26/09/2014 23:18

Tory membership does seem to be increasing actually, I know quite a few people who have joined.

If you want a greener Scotland why were you so excited about oil? Not very green. And you did remember that quite a kit of people voted Tory in 2010 and UKIP in 2014? As I've said before, Scotland is not a single left-wing voting bloc.

StatisticallyChallenged · 26/09/2014 23:19

Well, I'm sorry if the things I have done in a week are not sufficient. But actually, I think solving some of the practical problems which keep people trapped and unable to work is an important part of reducing poverty. And yes, I am well aware that there are lots of people in work who are in poverty. BUt you have a better chance of getting out of it if you are able to work than if you are not.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/09/2014 23:20

So now she has to not only help the poor, she has to do it in a way that you think comes from the right political angle, deeedeee? Hmm is it so impossible for you to admit that someone who voted No could still have done something significant to help people?

deeedeee · 26/09/2014 23:22

You answered all my points, but as I said you are speaking a different language, there's no point.

I accept that you won. I accept in was a close but a majority for no. But I think that you are blind if you can't see that the methods you won by were disgusting.

OOAOML · 26/09/2014 23:22

What should stat have done Deee? What would meet with your approval? I doubt we need your approval, but I'm curious.

trixymalixy · 26/09/2014 23:24

We won because the Yes campaign consistently failed to answer the perfectly legitimate concerns of the voting public, instead any doubts were met with cries of scaremongering or that you were feart. If you call that disgusting then on you go.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/09/2014 23:25

It is attitudes like that which will perpetuate the divisions that the referendum has caused, deeedeee - which will be so good for Scotland.

deeedeee · 26/09/2014 23:26

I'm not excited about oil. I thought Scotland could have been a successful export based economy without the oil. It's our morally and fiscally bankrupt government that are excited about the oil. And not just in Scotland but in the Middle East.

Workfare not welfare eh?

Good luck Tories .

OOAOML · 26/09/2014 23:26

Actually I think holding up independence as a blank cheque that would solve all problems was pretty disgusting. But have avoided using that word because I thought it wasn't helpful.

I have no idea how we get Scotland to come together. There is so much anger on both sides.

OOAOML · 26/09/2014 23:27

You were the one who mentioned oil earlier. And who mentioned workfare?

SirChenjin · 26/09/2014 23:27

Disgusting? I'm naturally heartbroken you think that.

deeedeee · 26/09/2014 23:29

Too right there is anger. But there is also positivity and action too. None of this is going away. If you see division, I see a gradually weakening country, and across the uk as well.

StatisticallyChallenged · 26/09/2014 23:29

workfare not welfare eh

Is that aimed at me? Because if it is you are barking up the wrong tree. There is a huge difference between making sure people have the right support to work if they want to, and workfare.

deeedeee · 26/09/2014 23:30

Wakening not weakening

OOAOML · 26/09/2014 23:31

Is there positivity and action towards Scotland within the UK? From all sides?

StatisticallyChallenged · 26/09/2014 23:32

It's not only Yes voters who have had their "wakening". There are plenty of no voters who were not previously very engaged by politics and are now.

trixymalixy · 26/09/2014 23:34

Positivity? All I see is bitterness and sour grapes and a lot of deluded nonsense. And if you think that is turning No voters into Yes voters, think again.

SirChenjin · 26/09/2014 23:37

Whatever action there is from the Yes side will be met and exceeded by the No side - again. And again. And again. The SNP have consistently failed over the years to persuade the Scottish people of the benefits of an inde Scotland, and they will fail again.

deeedeee · 26/09/2014 23:39

Yes I agree there's plenty of no voters who are wakening too. I met plenty of them at the unprecedentedly huge Green Party meetings this week, bitterly regretting their vote.
