It's obvious that the 2 year old is copying what she has herself heard; where else would a 2 year old learn 'That man will take you away?' Etc.

I don't understand why parents are proud of these videos, I think that they need to listen and reflect on themselves.

She is a very sweet girl but she shouldn't be repeating things like that at 2 years old.

I found little bits funny, but overall I was horrified. She's so aggressive, I would not be happy with her behaviour at all, but sadly it's a learned one. I can't believe her mother just sat there laughing.

Because the mum is wanting to have comments like, "Awww shes gorjussss hunni".

You need to watch the interviews with the mum of linda honey listen.
He had picked up different parts of the way the whole family speak to each other.

I actually don't get the big shame about that video. And am a bit about it being totally learned behaviour. Ds2 could give her a run for her money and I've NEVER said any of those things to him or hus brother and sister ever. He's just got a quick brain and a quick mouth on him and remembers things other people have said.

I couldn't comment on your child, but I would have to say that whatever the two children above have been exposed to is too much for their young brains IMO.

That 'Linda listen' one is equally dreadful. What on earth is funny about a child going on and on like that? It is learned behaviour, it's learned from somewhere and it's obnoxious. I wouldn't have a camcorder in my hand nevermind posting it.

awful awful awful. I didn't watch it the whole way through. Naughty steps, threatening to choke her parents, hitting, saying the man will take you away. Her parents should be ashamed. Its not remotely funny

I've just read back my thread and want to make it clear, I WOULDN'T laugh about it and post to youtube, I WOULD discipline the child for being disrespectful.

I don't like videos like that one bit. I can't stand the ones where the children are swearing at the parent while they're telling them off. It just speaks volumes about what the poor children are hearing at home day in day out. It's horrible and I certainly wouldn't post a video of my ds speaking to me like that. Well, he just wouldn't anyway!

I agree that 'Linda, listen' isn't any better.

I will never understand why they post this, let alone finding it funny.
