Smoking In my Garden neighbors banging?

Hey all,

Here's my issue whenever I'm not allowed to smoke In the house parents don't like It so I have to smoke In my garden however every time I go outside In my own garden for a cig my neighbors start banging the door in there garage (they sit in there garage, I really don't know what they do in there but they do)

What shall I do? It's starting to get on my nerves any advice?

also I live In a House there garden joins ours a fence is between us, even when I go outside not to smoke they still bang.. I really don't know what to do anymore, there Is a chance they can smell the smoke, but seriously I'm not allowed to smoke In public places, or in my house so were the hell can I smoke?

Also they are fairly close to as I said before only a fence between me and them.

I'll ask again, OP. Is it YOUR house or your parents' house?

If you wait a minute or 2 before lighting up do they bang anyway? I'm not a smoker and never have been but unless I've missed something its not against the law yet to smoke is it?

Ignore them or try shouting back "Are you okay in there, will I call the police do you need help?"

Well I think I've came to the conclusion that there trying to Intimidate me whats the best way to go about this?

Shall I go round and ask them what there problem Is? or shall I just Ignore them? Which would make them more mad?

Can you go and light up, RIGHT NOW and report back? If they bang, please ask them are they locked in.

Are you even old enough to legally purchase tobacco products?

Maybe there are illegal immigrants being kept as slaves in the garage and they are trying to get your attention so they can escape?

I think I'll just confront them but for a test to see if they bang only when I go outside I'm going to light 4 cigarettes at the same time and leave them in the ash tray and come inside and see what type of banging It causes.

I'd confront them. You're pretty sure they only do it whilst you're there so, yes, they are trying to intimidate you (even if they find it funny.) Shout out, "Are you okay in there? Do you need an ambulance or the police?"

Actually, if they don't reply, call the bloody police! (101 so as not to waste an emergency response.) If they do reply, ask them why they're banging on the walls!

To be honest I loathe smoking... The smell, the fact it kills you etc. my mother died very young due to her love of cigarettes. Your neighbours may be a bit odd, but if you are stinking them out, I do have some sympathy. It is a revolting habit - try and give up James.

While you have the 4 lit cigarettes out there and they start banging, call round and ask what the problem is. It will blow their minds. There's smoking carrying on but you're not doing it

I'm just gonna annoy them even more I'm going to constantly keep lit cigarettes In my ash tray 4 to 5 cigs left a light and ill go inside then come out and re light I'm going to drive them to the point of banging there door down.

4 fags.. those things cost a bomb. Don't waste A perfectly good smoke just because you're spooked by some banging. You might want to run it past your parents before you fall out with the neighbours.

Where are you getting the free cigs to do this? Don't they cost like a eleventy billion pounds per pack these days?

Gosh you must be loaded. That amount of cigs smoking all at once would have me bankrupt before it would annoy the neighbours! You may need to rethink your plan because it's cutting off your nose to spite your face just a touch

My neighbours teenage kids used to smoke weed in the garden constantly, them and all their friends! The way the wind blew, it blew into our house via any open window, and even the vent in the kitchen. So our house permanently stank of weed!

I eventually mentioned it to the lad next door, and he was so apologetic, and they have never smoked weed in the garden since then! I know weed is worse than tobacco, but I would have complained if it was just tobacco, it's my right to not passively smoke as I walk round my house! We are terraced houses, with small gardens.

My problem was really that the mum next door was very tolerant, so all the teenage friends would come round too, not just the actual people living next door!
