Alex salmond is speaking in 5 minutes apparently - in case anyone would stay up for that.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 06:01

We'll forgive you on 1% Chelsy!

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 06:01

Wonderful result from Edinburgh! And Argyll and Bute. I think BBC missed the Edinburgh announcement which was gutting but never mind.

I just fed my baby and felt safe for the first time in quite a while, and at peace.

Don't think I will stay awake for Fife but I think that will give us what we need to win. But thank you SC and all the posters for providing such stimulating discussion. It has been a learning experience. But not one I want to repeat any time soon!

gertiegusset · 19/09/2014 06:02

Alex Salmond won't resign, I'll bet my hat on that!

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 06:03

sashh · 19/09/2014 06:03

squoosh · 19/09/2014 06:04

Interesting that #Gordon Brown is the UK's third highest trending twitter term at the moment.

sarine1 · 19/09/2014 06:04

Flowers Cake to all.
Wishing Scotland all good wishes for reconciliation and harmony and thanking you for the kick up the bum that you have given to the whole of the UK in terms of our political apathy. A shining example of passion, commitment and a demand for change to our (mainly) deeply unimpressive politicians.

sashh · 19/09/2014 06:04

oops you are all ahead of me

tabulahrasa · 19/09/2014 06:04

BBC had the Edinburgh result on, they cut Aberdeenshire off mid announcement to go to it.

binkybunny · 19/09/2014 06:04

have decided no point in sleeping. mw appointment in 3 hours, hope my bp is ok after tonight!

tilliebob · 19/09/2014 06:05

I didn't realise how wound up I have been for weeks but this morning I feel the tension draining out of me. Democracy in action - although my FB is full of "It's a fix" and total knobbers on the BBC pages etc. Being disappointed is one thing, being abusive is another thing entirely.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 06:05

Sleep well living.

DD will be up in about 25 minutes, I'm just waiting through.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 06:05

Fife imminent.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 06:06

'No' campaign needs 85,112 votes to officially win.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/09/2014 06:06

I am feeling much more secure too, livingzuid - as the campaign has gone on, my anxiety levels have skyrocketed, and the depression has come back too - we were pretty sure we'd have to move back to England, if things had gone the other way. That would have broken my heart - we love it here, and I have been the happiest and well-est (sorry) that I can remember being, until recent months.

PhaedraIsMyName · 19/09/2014 06:06

Fife about to tip it over !

flippinada · 19/09/2014 06:06

Talking now about the Gordon Brown effect on BBC 1 now. Fife to declare shortly.

hambo · 19/09/2014 06:07

Yes, I feel such relief and I have not eaten in days...lost 5 lbs!!!

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 06:07

Fife Fife Fife!

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 06:07

I have a sleep deprivation headache - but it's a distinct improvement on the tension headache I've had for the last week.

Sky have just shown an interview from someone who said (pre results) "We'll always be part of the UK but if we could be independent too that would be amazing"

Erm, you can't be both!

Fife electorate is 302,165. No only needs 29%.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 06:08

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

SirChenjin · 19/09/2014 06:08

Waking up to the best news ever (although didn't really sleep....) Grin Grin Grin. A wonderful result - I'm still a Scottish Brit, and still part of a fantastic UK. Initial relief turned to euphoria, and now feel at peace.

Both Governments need to take a long, hard look at themselves, and there had better not be any more referendum talk for a generation as Wee Eck promised.
