Secret I'm sorry Flowers

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 05:36

Nobody was kicked off, I haven't seen most of the Yes voters tonight. Most of the threads have been pretty even.

Guys, I know we were on opposite sides and whilst I'm relieved, I'm also sorry that you didn't get something I know many of you have been working towards for years.

I am pleased it's looking like a no vote but having just watched NS I have more respect for how she responded to the questions.

GrouchyKiwi · 19/09/2014 05:36

I wondered about Salmond maybe making that big announcement tomorrow and leaving Sturgeon in charge.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 05:36

Someone claiming 55% no in Edinburgh on Twitter.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 05:36

Salmond was swanning around enough as the face of the Yes campaign (to the annoyance of many Yes campaigners who wanted to vote to be more than the SNP) when it was on a high. His being first minister didn't stop any bias on that front. So it is wrong he hasn't been visible now.

SDTG agree. He sends out his deputy to deal with bad news. In my cynical moments I wonder if he doesn't want to ruin his public image.

MorrisZapp · 19/09/2014 05:36

Hugs for you, secret

tabulahrasa · 19/09/2014 05:37

"Yes voters will still think they are right which is fine but my sympathies are waning when I look at some of the FB statuses about betrayal and cowArdice"

Hmm, none of the other yes voters on mine are doing anything but expressing being sad.

I'm going to say what I said to a friend of mine yesterday...start being fussier about who you add on Facebook, lol.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 05:37

BBC- Norman Smith: Sources say new powers for Scottish parliament will be "an extenssnion of existing responsibilities" - not Devo Max #indyref

flippinada · 19/09/2014 05:37

Secret I know what it's like to feel gutted at the result of an election. And I know what a massive deal this was for yes voters. I don't think you'll find crowing here Thanks.

Shenanagins · 19/09/2014 05:38

So relieved this morning. Still feeling emotional about the whole thing.

unlucky83 · 19/09/2014 05:39

Who thinks Tommy Sheridan is anything but a complete idiot - why are they giving him airtime...
And the woman talking now taking issue with someone using the word 'victory' - can you imagine what Sheridan would have said if Yes had won????

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 05:40

Hurry up Edinburgh!

OP posts:
WhatWouldFreddieDo · 19/09/2014 05:40

perhaps we could also have a 'Going Forward, Devo Max' thread

AndHarry · 19/09/2014 05:40

No celebration here. Relief and a quiet pride that so many people want to hold the Union together. A lot of people will be disappointed and I feel bad for them. I hope that things change now to make our elected institutions more representative across the UK, not just Scotland. I for one have never voted for my MP, local councillors or MEP.

EarthWindFire · 19/09/2014 05:40

Thanks secret

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 19/09/2014 05:40

I have just said exactly the same thing, unlucky - I bet Alex would be calling it a victory if the'd won.

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 05:41

Edinburgh has been imminent since 4am....

binkybunny · 19/09/2014 05:41

is Tommy Sheridan the yes guy on BBC?

squoosh · 19/09/2014 05:41

David Cameron will be passing solid poo today for the first time in weeks.

BookABooSue · 19/09/2014 05:41

I'm going to catch some sleep. Congratulations to the 'no' voters and heartfelt commiserations to my fellow 'yes' voters.

CinnabarRed · 19/09/2014 05:41

No crowing from me - although I am a little disconcerted by tweets on the BBC website from yes voters suggesting that the results have been actively fixed (particularly in Glasgow and Inverclyde).

SantanaLopez · 19/09/2014 05:41

Salmond's tweeted.

Well done to Glasgow, our commonwealth city, and to the people of Scotland for such a incredible support

Bastard.

Figster · 19/09/2014 05:42

I've moved to sky news bbc boring me

ChelsyHandy · 19/09/2014 05:42

The latest post on the Wings page reads: "THE SILENT SENSIBLE MAJORITY WINS - goodbye WINGS OVER BATH and good riddance"
