Evening all!

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 02:23

I'd be surprised if Edinburgh was a Yes.

tabulahrasa · 19/09/2014 02:23

"tabulahrasa if it is any consolation I don't think many No voters are thrilled with the Orange Order either."

Oh god I know that...I just mean, it'd need to be a huge yes for west lothian to be a yes.

misskelly · 19/09/2014 02:24

I'm a yes voter but I do hope that if no wins they do so by a significant margin as a near 50/50 split could be problematic. I just hope that the various Westminster mps who where promising us all sorts of powers deliver or god knows how it will eventually play out.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 02:24

Hearts Grin It's late! ... or is it now early?!

flippinada · 19/09/2014 02:24

Edinburgh will be a no and has been all along, I think. Midlothian (my area) I think will be a no. But I might be wrong there.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 02:24

And if this wasn't a reason to vote No then I don't know what was!

Oops I should have said, the tagline to that is 'Serious Problems for the Proclaimers should Scotland go independent'

ChelsyHandy · 19/09/2014 02:26

My facebook already has shouts of fix on it, which is quite impressive really.

Wait for the claims of media bias affecting the result...

Fontella · 19/09/2014 02:26

Squoosh

That Nicola Sturgeon tweet.

Grin Grin Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 02:26

I saw a graph earlier that had Midlothian as a lot more likely to be Yes than Edinburgh

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/09/2014 02:27

Lots of No predictions on lots of different news feeds.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 02:28

tabulahrasa yes of course, apologies. I always found it frustrating to vote in elections when I knew it would just go straight to Labour or Conservative no matter what I did. I feel this referendum gave people a chance to be heard if nothing else. I of course want a No win but I hope we can learn lessons from it and progress forward if we prevail.

misskelly couldn't agree more. They will be so buggered if they don't deliver.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 02:29

It wasn't Lesley Riddoch I was talking about before it was the other woman who was on with her - as I said, she was wearing red.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 02:29

Statistically. I may be talking nonsense (strong possibility). Midlothian, I'd say, is pretty mixed. The area I'm in is urban/working class but also with a high proprtion of older voters.

The private poll in my head says...see what the voters say :)

MrsTerryPratchett · 19/09/2014 02:29

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 02:30

No no Lesley Alex Salmond is a one trick pony. Let's hope he buggers off for once and for all after this if it is a No. Or a Yes actually. Can you imagine him sharing centre stage with Obama, Merkel et al as a Prime Minister? Cringe...

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 02:30

I don't have turnouts yet for:

Aberdeenshire
Argyll and Bute
East Ayrshire
Edinburgh
Eilian Siar
Fife
Highland
Moray
Perth
West Dunbartonshire

Shout if you see them!

flippinada · 19/09/2014 02:30

The private poll may be affected by a wine/water correlation.

squoosh · 19/09/2014 02:30

Man stuck beside Lesley Riddoch speaks sense.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/09/2014 02:31

DH was watching in the other room (I'm in bed) and has just told me that we have lost our satellite coverage. Anyone else being affected by this massive thunderstorm? At least I still have you guys and the BBC website!

squoosh · 19/09/2014 02:31

Rescue man stuck beside Riddoch!

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 02:31

Sorry latte I am getting my women in red mixed up I think. Need a cuppa.

ChelsyHandy · 19/09/2014 02:31

Lot of expensive new build houses in Midlothian though.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 02:31

Who is man beside Lesley Riddoch?

Igneococcus · 19/09/2014 02:31

The BBC news feed now has a picture of the helicopters bringing the ballots from the isles. Islay had a very active No-group of business people. I saw them campaigning on the mainland a few times.
