Evening all!

OP posts:
alAswad · 19/09/2014 01:50

Hi everyone, Northern Englander here, hoping for a 'no' although like Middleagedmoo I think I will feel some regret for 'what might have been' if the no's win it. Nothing against an independent Scotland in principle (although we'd miss you in rUK!) but I don't want to see it happen like this.

I've been glued to this thread (as well as the last ten or so) and the BBC for the last few hours but I think I might take a nap til 3ish now, for the sake of my sanity... See you all back here later, hopefully!

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 01:50

Ah there's Aberdeen now. Not at all a bad turnout.

HeartsTrumpDiamonds · 19/09/2014 01:50

Who is going to be next to declare?

Middleagedmoo · 19/09/2014 01:50

squoosh I agree re Pat Kane. I was actually in hysterics during his interview. I am getting quite aggressive and shouting at tv, generally. Oh God Pat's off again and UKIP man. Get him off please...Now Johann is having a moment - a journey

GrouchyKiwi · 19/09/2014 01:51

Who's the prat with the bad tie and shirt combo? On channel not with Huw.

Cambiodenombre · 19/09/2014 01:51

The Dundee vote surprised me too chelsy

unitarian · 19/09/2014 01:51

I haven't seen Andrew Marr since he had his stroke. It's good to see him well again.
His 'The Making of Modern Britain' is very readable & puts a lot of things in perspective.

I'm English with a Scots DH - no vote because we live in England. Gordon's speech brought a tear to my eye, especially when he talked of the British war dead lying side by side in cemeteries all over Europe.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 01:51

Who is the blonde in red on BBC1?

flippinada · 19/09/2014 01:51

Chelsy has nailed it. Small area but the population is (broadly) representative of Scotland as a whole.

livingzuid · 19/09/2014 01:51

LMAO at the blonde woman saying the SNP had an economic plan. Had to splutter quietly!

tabulahrasa · 19/09/2014 01:51

Orkney's supposed to be next

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 01:51

Twitter reporting 75% turnout in glasgow.

PhaedraIsMyName · 19/09/2014 01:52

I thought Orkney was imminent.

SlowlorisIncognito · 19/09/2014 01:53

Glasgow turnout 75%- is that the lowest so far?

flippinada · 19/09/2014 01:53

I think the blonde woman is Lesley Riddoch.

OOAOML · 19/09/2014 01:53

Glasgow turnout 75%??

squoosh · 19/09/2014 01:53

Only 75% for Glasgow? That does seem low.

TensionWheelsCoolHeels · 19/09/2014 01:53

I think it is, Dundee was higher.

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 01:54

I'm too old for this all night milarky!

squoosh · 19/09/2014 01:54

Lesley bloody Riddoch.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 01:54

75% is a very good turnout for Glasgow, I believe.

Mammuzza · 19/09/2014 01:54

Wine latte

Damn you lot though. I was only bothered about the potential boost for Lega, and look at me now. Can't sleep becuase I am all emotionally invested in you lot with so much on the line.

I want to see you all unburdened. And then I can nod off.

DH's snoring permitting.

tabulahrasa · 19/09/2014 01:54

Glasgow always has a low turnout though doesn't it?

PhaedraIsMyName · 19/09/2014 01:55

Ladies are Salmond and Nicola not visible at all?

StatisticallyChallenged · 19/09/2014 01:55

Yup, Glasgow confirmed at 75%. Really surprising.
